Have you seen the Hollywood film Unstoppable? if you have --- then those scenes were played out in real life in Karnataka when a Runaway train engine travelled without a driver for almost 13 kilometres. Later the engine was brought to a halt after a dramatic chase on a bike. On Wednesday Mumbai bound train arrived at wadi Junction in Karnataka. As a routine the train's electric engine gets swapped with a diesel engine. This train completes its onward journey from Wadi to Solapur with diesel engine. After switching the two engines the loco pilot got off from the diesel engine but to his horror the engine started moving in opposite direction. Thereafter the followed scenes were are almost like a Hollywood movie flick however the only difference is that this time engine was moving at a speed of 30 km per hour. |
