The State government has taken up the task to construct flyover bridges at three places with a financial outlay of Rs.104 crore in Renigunta mandal to ease traffic congestion in and around the burgeoning Tirupati city. This was informed by the Minister for Mines and Geology, Galla Aruna at a function after laying the foundation stone for one of the three bridges on the Tirupati-Kadapa highway at Karakambadi, close to the Amara Raja Battery Plant owned by the Gallas.Addressing a brief meeting she said that while one of the bridges is at the railway gate near Renigunta coming up at a cost of Rs.42 crore the other - also over a rail-gate is at the K. Agraharam area with a budget out lay of Rs.18 crore.She recalled as the sanctions accorded to these works when she was the Roads and Buildings Minister and said she was happy that they were now becoming a reality. She also reminisced that Karakambadi village used to be neglected place when they (Gallas) started their Battery Plant three decades ago. DCCB Chairman Amasa Rajasekhar Reddy and RDO (Tirupati), A.
