Train services from Chennai Central to Gummidipoondi, Arakkonam Junction and Sulurpettah and from Chennai Beach to Velachery are suspended from today due to storm. Met department has declared Vardah cyclone as very severe making conditions undesirable for train operation. All the train services are temporarily suspended until further notice. Apart from the above mentioned train services - Chennai Beach-Tambaram-Chengalpattu line are also suspended till further notice. The Navajeevan Express from Chennai to Ahmedabad, and the weekly Superfast Express to Puri have been diverted through Gudur, Renigunta and Arakkonam. | ||
