Chennai Rail Division has extended its ticket booking of Suburban trains to the passengers of Salem Railway Division also with slight modification. Earlier Chennai Division has successfully implemented a mobile booking ticket app “UTSONMOBILE” for suburban train travel.

Through this app passengers can book their ticket of Suburban train, however before boarding onto the train ticket must be collected from automatic ticket vending machines installed in railway stations. For this process passengers have to enter their mobile number and booking ID available on the show ticket option.

Passenger must note that they cannot travel without printed ticket. In Salem division, ATVMs have been installed in stations such as Salem, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Mettupalayam, Karur, Salem Town, Attur and Chinna Salem.

UTS app can be downloaded on smartphone directly from the store.

The passenger can register as a user of this application and charge his R-wallet (Railway Wallet).

The passenger has the option of charging the R-wallet either at UTS counters or by logging on to www.utsonmobileindian.com
