The railway police rescued five class X girl students at Salem Railway Junction on Friday night after they left their houses and were on their way to Hyderabad in Sabari Express. The police said they received information from a passenger in the train that five girl students have boarded unreserved compartment of Sabari Express at Tirupur railway station and were headed for Hyderabad. When the train reached Salem junction, police personnel entered the compartment and took the girls to the police station. Inquiry revealed that they were studying at a government school in Tirupur and they left the school as their parents keep scolding them due to poor performance in studies. Their parents were informed and the children were handed over to them.
