To clear the extra rush of passengers visiting Palani on account of 'Thaipoosam' festival at the Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swam temple, a special train has been announced between that will run on January 30 and 31.

Madurai - Palani will depart Madurai at 6 AM in the morning and will arrive Palani at 08:30 AM while the second special train will depart from Madurai at 02:30 PM and will arrive Palani at 04:45 PM.

Palani - Madurai Express will depart from Palani at 11:30 AM and will arrive Madurai at 1:45 PM while the second special train will depart Palani at 08:00 PM in the evening and will arrive Madurai at 10:15 PM.
