Under the leadership of railway minister Suresh Prabhu, Indian Railway is trying its best form joint venture from state government to speed up rail projects. Seventeen stated have agreed to form joint ventures, the lok sabha was informed. Under the joint venture, states are granted ownership of the project which will allow railways to complete projects swiftly. During Question hour Prabhu also informed about Vikalp reservation system in which waitlisted passengers will get confirm seats in alternate trains. Also passenger with ordinary tickets will be able to travel on premium trains without paying any extra money. It was also informed that once approved by the Parliament Secretariat, MPs can book and cancel their tickets online using a unique identity. |
