Seven passengers travelling in the general coach of Sanghamitra Express were found unconscious and were admitted to the Government Hospital at Tirupattur at noon on Tuesday.Jolarpet Railway Police said the passengers – all aged between 22 and 30 years – were travelling in the train plying from Bangalore to Patna. On finding them lying unconscious, the railway police rushed them to the GH at about 12 noon. It is suspected that they were drugged by unidentified persons as they had consumed soft drinks in the train at Bangalore.A doctor at the GH said the seven persons were admitted to the emergency ward of the hospital. While four of them were slowly regaining consciousness, the remaining others were feeling drowsy. | ||
