In view of the serial blasts in Pune on Wednesday, Northern Railway has tightened security across all the important stations in the zone. Security measures have been enhanced with the help of dog squads and electronic surveillance at stations like New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Anand Vihar, Lucknow, Varanasi, Moradabad, Haridwar, Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh and Ambala.Checking and frisking of passengers at the stations have been stepped up in coordination with the Government Railway Police. Chief Security Commissioner Northern Railway has instructed all the Senior Divisional Security Commissioners at Delhi, Ambala, Firozpur, Jammu & Kashmir, Moradabad and Lucknow to maintain high visibility and proactive presence of the Railway Protection Force. |
