Hyderabad  : South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager G N Asthana administered pledge to officers and staff working in Rail Nilayam against non-violence on the occasion of Anti-Terrorism Day today.The pledge stated that 'We the people of India, having abiding faith in our country's tradition of non-violence and tolerance, hereby solemnly affirm to oppose with our strength, all forms of terrorism and violence.' 'We pledge to uphold and promote peace, social harmony and understanding among all fellow human beings and fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values.' The pledge was administered by Principal Heads of all Departments in Rail Nilayam, and Divisional Railway Managers of all the Divisions to their officers and staff.Anti-Terrorism Day is observed with the objectives of weaning the people especially the youth away from the cult of terrorism and violence.
