Train passengers have been warned against carrying inflammable goods as they have been prohibited under section 67 of the Railway Act and are punishable under sections 164 and 165 of the Railway Act, 1989, a railway release said.

The passengers who notice others carrying inflammable material on trains or railway premises have been asked to inform the guard of the train or to the Southern Railway zone mobile 9840668675.

In case of emergency, the passengers have been asked to pull the alarm chain, the release added.
