In a breathtaking match, Railways defeated Rajiv Gandhi College group  by 3-1 goals on the fourth-day of SBI football tournament-2012 played on the Railway Ground near Bhopal railway station here on Tuesday.In the first half, Rajiv Gandhi college group dominated the match, on the fourth minute of first half, Sachin of Rajiv Gandhi sporting jersey number 44 scored first goal of the match. By the end of the first half Rajiv Gandhi college group maintained lead by 1-0 goals.With starting of the second half of the match Railway dominated the game, on the 52nd minute jersey number 10 Yogesh Lala of Railways scored first goal for railway and brought the score to one goal each. Both the teams kept attacking and it seemed that the match will go in to tie breaker. On the 57th minute, jersey number 7 Rehmat Baig of railway scored a goal with a beautiful pass and got railways the lead by 2-1 goals.After which Rajiv Gandhi college group got under pressure due to which their defender shot a goal in their own goal post. By this way railways won the match by 3-1 goals.Award Staff Employees Union president Rajendra Singh Rana awarded Rehmat Baig with the ‘Man of the Match’ award for his brilliant performance. On this occasion Award Staff Employees Union general secretary Arun Bhagoliwal, Bhopal region Deputy General Secretary Pankaj Saxsena and huge audience were present.

First semi final of the tournament will be played on Wednesday between State Bank of India (SBI) and Chief Post Master General’s office (CPMG).
