Arunachal Pradesh Governor Gen (Retd) J J Singh has advised the concerned railway officials to maintain proper liaison with the state government and to have good inter-department coordination to expedite the work of the Harmuti to Naharlagun board gauge railway project. While reviewing the details of the progress of the railway project, under Prime Minister's special economic package to the state, here at Raj Bhavan yesterday, he further advised that in case of any constraint, it should be addressed at the earliest considering the interest of the people of the state, there should be no hindrance in implementation of the project, official report said here today.The Governor expressed concern on delay in the construction of the major bridges, which is taking considerable time. Taking part in the discussion, secretary to governor Ankur Garg assured to take up the issues which causing hindrance in the progress of the work with concerned department.Appraising the governor of the project, the deputy chief engineer of Northeast Frontier Railway Sanjay Kanojia, informed that work is targeted to be completed by December 2012.With 20 km out of 21.76 km track linking has completed, it will be commissioned along with Rangapara North-North Lakhimpur, he added.He also informed that the revised estimate has been sanctioned on September 4 last and work will be implemented accordingly.
