LUCKNOW: The commissioner of railway safety will hold an inquiry into the derailment of train 13009 Howrah-Dehradun Doon Express. Eleven coaches of Doon Express had derailed between Mihrawan-Khetasarai stations near Jaunpur, in Lucknow division of Northern Railway on May 31. Three persons died in the accident, while four received grievous injuries. Twenty two persons had sustained minor injuries.Railways has set up an inquiry to find out the cause of the accident. Any information from any person which has a bearing on the accident may be conveyed to the commissioner of railway safety, RK Kardam, either personally or in writing at northern circle, CRIS complex, Chanakyapuri.The inquiry will be held on June 8 and 9 (Friday and Saturday) from 10am to 6pm at Divisional Railway Manager's Office, Northern Railway, Lucknow. |
