Hyderabad: The Railway police in Andhra Pradesh has denied that an Assamese passenger was thrown out of a train leading to his death in Srikakulam district. ‘No such incident has taken place. We had a case of accidental fall of a passenger from Bengaluru-Gauhati express on the morning of Agust 14. The passenger was taken to the Primary Health Center at Sompeta in Srikakulam district and he died a few minutes after reaching the center”, said VSK Kaumudi, additional director general, Railway Police in Hyderabad. He was asked to react to the statement of Smujjal Bhattacharya, advisor to the All Assam Students Union that miscreants had pushed out Sanjay Roy of Kokrajhar district from Trivandrum Express at Sompeta station. “It is a very peaceful stretch and there was no untoward incident. He was travelling in a general compartment and fell down”, Kaumudi said. |
