It seems like the accident that took place at the level crossing at Aroor last Sunday has taught the Railways some precious lessons. The Railways has started work to install gates at other level crossings at Aroor. On Tuesday, the work on one more railway gate at the level crossing in temple road near the Vijayambika level cross was completed.The Railway officials said they have deployed gatekeepers - two men in 12 hour shift - to man the gates.Besides, the work on two other gates will be completed in a week. The electricity and telecommunication system have been connected to railway gates.However, the sanitation facility in gatekeepers room at these railway gates are yet to be complete. All the facilities would be provided in a weeks time. | ||
