Mumbai : Mumbai police today released a photograph and CCTV footage to track down the culprit. of a three-year-old baby girl, who was allegedly stolen by an unidentified man a month back when she was sleeping with her family at the CST railway station in south Mumbai.According to railway police, the accused around 20-25 years of age came to the Chhattrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) railway station on June 10 at around 0200 hrs and took away the baby girlm sleeping with her parents, who are contract labourers hailing from Vidharbha region of the state.The footage showed a limping man alighting a train and wandering around the station before spotting a family with a sleeping baby. He then sat besides her and took her away.Police's efforts to nail the accused failed after which they decided to release photograph and CCTV footage, seeking help of the public. The girl's parents used to clean the railway tracks, police said,adding that they were to board a train in the night but missed it,following which they decided to sleep at the railway station and catch the next train. |
