Performance of three railway zones - North Central Railway, North Eastern Railway & East Central Railway were reviewed by Rail and Coal minister Piyush Goel. In the meeting projects related to sanctioning of third line between Allahabad and Mughal Sarai was also discussed and was set on the top most priority. To minimize congestion in Delhi- Mughalsarai route All Production Units of Indian Railways to work in full capacity to meet the demand of coaches, if any by Zonal Railways.

Also the idea of integrated traffic block was also discussed with General Managers in which all engineering work including maintenance, construction, electrical or signal related work will be done simultaneously. This will minimize the passenger's inconvenience due to frequent traffic blocks for variety of works.
