Railways is struggling to keep up the pace in northern India due dense fog. This has forced Indian railways to cancel atleast 26 trains for month from December 17 to January 15 in order to restore punctuality. All these 26 trains were running extremely late. Indian railways made this announcement on Sunday adding woes to passengers. Fog has brought endless waiting hours for passengers; now cancellation of trains will only invite more trouble for passengers. East Central Railway (ECR) chief public relations officer however thinks that this move will allow railway to streamline the timing of trains running inordinately late. From the 26 cancelled trains Patna Rajdhani Express also forms a part. Other cancelled trains also include – Patna-Ranchi Janshatabdi, Anand Vihar-Danapur Express, Patna-Howrah Janshatabdi, Sampoorna Kranti Express and Saharsa-Amritsar Express. Seven mail and express trains that were originating/terminating or passing through East central rail zone are also cancelled by railway. | ||
