Ministry of Railway has the proposal for the upgradation of Bhubaneswar railway station in three phases. In the first phase all platforms will be connected to third railway route, Construction of entry gate of Cuttack road end, construction of fifth and sixth platform at Bhubaneswar railway station, will be undertake by East Coast Railway (ECR).Railway Officials presented a blue print to the Chief Minister Naveen pattnaik about the Railway Projects in the state at secretariat on Monday. Officials from ECoR, presented a blue print mainly about the development of infrastructure, doubling of various railway line, automatic signaling system, and third railway line.Officials said, multi storied building will be constructed for parking of vehicles at Bhubaneswar railway station as well as extension of code complex, four lining of Khurda-Barang route will begin soon.It was also informed that doubling of Ghantikhal-Nidhipur-Naraj, Naraj-Marthapur-Barang, Cuttack-Barang, Delang-Puri route, is under this proposal of Railway ministry. Ministry has chalked out plan for the upgradation of Puri railway station. Chief Minister stressed upon for the early completion of these projects by the ECR. In this Meeting State commerce and transport minister Subrat Tarai, Chief secretary Bijay Pattnaik and senior officials from State government and ECR were present. |
