Information about India’s Nobel laureates, the Prize and Alfred Nobel, the institutor of the Nobel Prize, was put up on a special wall at select Delhi Metro railway stations in the city on Saturday. As part of the Nobel Memorial Wall, organised by the Embassy of Sweden and the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), information about the prestigious award is being showcased through photographs and information bullets at Rajiv Chowk and Noida City Centre metro stations up to November 2. Information about India’s Nobel laureates -- Rabindranath Tagore, C. V. Raman, Dr. Hargobind Khorana, Mother Teresa, Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar, Amartya Sen and Venkatraman Ramakrishnan -- will be put up on display. “The aim of exhibiting this wall is to spread awareness about all the Nobel laureates from India,” said a DMRC spokesperson. |
