Indian Railway has tweaked rules related to consension offered to elderly people. As per the given rules any senior citizen travelling from Indian Railways is entitled to avail 50% discount on base fare for female and 40% discount for male. The age for males to categorize them as senior was 60 Years while for females was 58 years. As per changed rules Indian senior citizens will continue to get such discounts but any foreign or NRI senior citizen will now not be able to avail the discount. This rule is effective from 29th September, 2016. | ||
