Dr. V.K. Ramteke, Director General, Railway Health Services, Railway Board, New Delhi inaugurated the newly established Obstetrics & Gynaecology Ward and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (for mother and child care) and launched the “Medical Stores Inventory Management System Software” at the Railway Central Hospital, Lallaguda, Secunderabad today (25thMay, 2012).Shri G.N. Asthana, General Manager, South Central Railway, Dr. S.K. Sharma, Chief Medical Director, Dr. B. Sudhakar, Medical Director, Railway Central Hospital, Shri Pradeep Kumar, Principal Chief Engineer, Shri Margoob Hussain, Divisional Railway Manager, SC. Railway were present on the occasion.Railway officials and Hospital Staff participated in large number.Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ramteke said that the Railway Central Hospital, Lallaguda is one among the efficientRailway Hospitals in Indian Railways and the addition of Obstetrics & Gynaecology Ward and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit were the land mark improvements to the Hospital next to the Out Patient Department. These efforts would go a long way in gaining theconfidence of the patience and encourage the Doctors to bestow their best to the patients, he said. He called upon the medical practitioners not to compromise on the quality of the medi-care being provided at the Hospital at any circumstances. He further stated that eradication of anemia should be one of our missions to ensure birth of healthy babies and quality of their future life. While taking on minimizing the medical expenditures, he said thatadult vaccination and health chart for babies would be introduced to improve the medi-care system and little expenditure on patients at initial stage would help to save crores of rupees if the patients treated at advanced stage, he added.Shri G.N. Asthana, General Manager South Central Railway lauded the railway officials for having established the new Obstetrics & Gynaecology Ward and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with muchelegance and modern equipments. He exhorted the railway medical officers to rise up to tackle the challenges posed by complicated prenatal and post natal care but also by increasing number of old age and retired employees. He stressed the need for sending railway doctors to foreign countries to have exposure toworld’s best Hospitals.Shri S.K. Sharma, Chief Medical Director, SC. Railway, while addressing the gathering, informed that railway board had sanctioned the construction ofa 80 bedded ENT and Gerietrics (for old age) Ward at Railway Central Hospital, Lallaguda. Shri B. Sudhakar, Medical Director, Railway Central Hospital, Lallaguda and Dr. Nagasundari, Head of the Gynaec Department of also spoke on the occasion. |
