ALLAHABAD: The new general manager of North Central Railway Alok Johri was given a warm reception on his arrival in the city on Sunday. Later, he met the various heads of departments of North Central Railway at Subedarganj headquarters.Johri was received by senior railway officials including divisional railway manager of Allahabad division Harendra Rao.He arrived at the North Central Railways headquarters at about 10:00 am. A contingent of RPF (Railway Protection Force) presented guard of honour to the new general manager. Johri stressed that safety of the passengers and the punctuality of the trains would be the top priority of NCR and for that he sought co-operation from every officer of the zone. He also laid impetus on the various passenger amenities work that is presently underway in the zone. He also gave instructions for timely completion of all the pending railway projects in the zone.During the meeting various heads of departments including principal chief engineer Satish Kumar, chief mechanical engineer Kabeer Ahmad, chief operating manager UK Singh, chief signaling and telecom engineer Anand Kumar, chief public relations officer Sandeep Mathur, and others were present.
