Indore: The controversial mural at railway station which raised the hackles of Congressmen for allegedly depicting BJP’s election symbol lotus is still under wraps for over a week. It was covered by the railway authorities after the controversy over alleged promotion of BJP ideology in the name of beautification. Congress has objected to the mural after the artifact designed by city-based artist Mahendra Kodwani was recently inaugurated at the entrance of platform no 1 of the railway station. Following the protest , the railway administration covered the piece with a thick cloth to avoid any controversy. Congress spokesperson Narendra Saluja reaffirmed party’s stand said the party would not let the mural be displayed in its original form which depicts lotus -election symbol of BJP. Either the art piece be kept covered or changed altogether, he demanded. Congress workers had protested at the railway station on the same issue. |
