A 24-year-old Mumbai-based woman lost her leg after she was allegedly thrown out of a train near Ambala while she returning from a holiday in Punjab, railway sources said. The incident took place last week.Victim Bhavika Mehta is now recuperating in the ICU of a hospital in suburban Mumbai. Bhavika and five of her family members had boarded the non-AC coach of an Amristar-Mumbai train. Around 1.30 a.m., she realised someone had snatched her bag. Since her seat was close to the door, she followed the thief. When she resisted, the thief pushed her and her left leg came under the wheels. A case has been registered with the Ambala railway police. | ||
