Railway minister Suresh Prabhu went Surat for the first time for foundation stone laying ceremonies of four projects in central Gujarat and north Gujarat. He said – as I am here for the first time so I cannot simply go back without offering a gift for Suratis. His gift to people of Surat was Tejas – a luxury tarain from Indian Railways that will connect Surat to Mumbai. He further said – “This train will be operated at speeds above 130kmph and will offer on – board entertainment services through television screens at back of chairs, WiFi and even a local cuisine. All these services will be provided through a single service provider to ensure accountability and customer satisfaction.” Tejas will reach Mumbai from Surat in less than two and half hours – he added. | ||
