An absent-minded commuter on the Delhi Metro railway was reunited with his bag containing Rs.1 lakh at Udyog Nagar metro station after he moved off to catch a train on Thursday.Around 10.20 a.m., Ashish of Paschim Vihar, who was travelling from Udyog Nagar to Tees Hazari metro station, placed his bag at the scanning machine, completed the mandatory security frisking and proceeded to catch a train without collecting his bag.Central Industrial Security Force Constable Laxman Singh who was on duty kept the bag safely near the X-ray machine. The commuter returned 15 minutes later looking for his bag and informed the CISF staff that the bag contained Rs.1 lakh meant for treatment of his ailing father. The bag was restored to him in the presence of Udyog Nagar metro station Controller Devendra Singh, said a Delhi Metro statement. |
