RANCHI: Inter-district travel in Jharkhand will be a little more comfortable now with Union minister for state for railways K H Munniappa inaugurating Dumka Ranchi Intercity Express that left Jasidih station with over 800 people at 2pm on Monday.The train will connect Santhal Paragana with Ranchi. The people of Dumka had been waiting for the connectivity for long. It has brought cheers to them.The train will connect Hazagibagh, Bokaro, Deoghar and Dhanbad. The minister also announced the extension of Kolkata-Chitranjan passenger train till Deoghar. The minister has assured that infrastructure and other issues facing the railway stations would be taken care of. The new train leaves Jasidih at 2.30pm and reaches Ranchi at 11.30pm. "The train should be early in the morning so that people can reach Ranchi in the evening," said a local resident. The demand has been forwarded to the railway authorities.
