Passenger amenities have always been one of the top priorities of S E Railway. For convenience of commuters, SER takes several initiatives throughout the year. To ease the journey of passengers, specially elderly, sick and differently abled people, SER has installed a number of escalators and lifts at different stations over the zone. Total 10 numbers of escalators already opened for passengers use at Kharagpur, Ranchi, Hatia, Bokaro Steel City and Tatanagar Stations. Recently 2 more escalators have been commissioned at Rourkela station. This apart, 8 numbers of lifts have been provided at Kharagpur, Ranchi and Bokaro Steel City Stations. In addition to the above, it has been planned to install escalators at Jharsuguda and lifts at Tatanagar, Rourkela, Hatia & Balasore stations under S.E.Railway’s jurisdiction. | ||
