Kerala MPs recently met Railway Minister M. Mallikarjun Kharge and demanded that a railway zone be created for Kerala with Mangalore as divisional headquarters.Kerala has two railway divisions — Palakkad and Thiruvananthapuram — both part of Southern Railway. The MPs want the formation of a zone for the west coast with Mangalore as a new divisional headquarters because any new zone should have a minimum of three divisions. | ||
