The Northern Railways Men Union (NRMU) today organised gate meeting in front of SS Jammu Tawi office to finalise the arrangements for participation in 45th annual martyrs’ day at Pathankot.Union president and branch secretary,Jammu branch, Subhash Dogra and Vijay Singh apprised about the programme to be followed by the delegates of Jammu branch.Around 1,000 members are expected to participate in the celebration at Pathankot. Martyrs’ Day is celebrated on September 19 every year in memory of those who sacrificed their lives fighting for the cause of railway employees.Others who participated in the gate meeting included Balbir Singh, KK Sharma, Ashwani Kumar, Ram Pal Sharma, Raj Kumar and Rajeev Sabarwal.

The Gooty Loco Diesel Shed has been adjudged as the best functioning diesel shed in the South Central Railway zone.

The loco shed is responsible for the maintenance of 137 loco engines and has a work force of 3,000.

Gooty has been recognised as one of the few well-maintained loco sheds in the country. Of the five diesel loco sheds in the South Central Railway, Gooty had been adjudged as the best loco shed.

The certificate of award has been presented by South Central Railway General Manager Jayanth to DME Sreenivasulu at a function in Hyderabad. Technicians - Abraham, Sekhar, Kulayappa, Rajendra Prasad Reddy, Khadar Valli, Jaffar, Suresh, Hussein Saheb, Narayana Swamy, Sreenivasulu, Narasimhulu, Shiva Kumar, Nagaraju and Subramanyam were given best worker awards for displaying efficiency and hard work. The employees had been to Hyderabad on Monday to personally receive the awards and certificates of merit.

AC SUPERFAST SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN LTT & HAZARAT NIZAMUDDIN

Central Railway has decided to run 2 Air-conditioned Superfast special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Hazarat Nizamuddin to clear the extra rush of passengers.The details are as under –

02109 AC Superfast special train will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus o­n Tuesday 24.9.2013 at 14.30 hrs and arrive Hazarat Nizamuddin at 10.20 hrs next day.

02110 AC Superfast special train will leave Hazarat Nizamuddin o­n Wednesday 25.9.2013 at 15.50 hrs and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 11.50 hrs next day.

Halts: Nasik Road, Bhusawal, Bhopal, Jhansi, Gwalior and Agra Cantonement.

   

Composition: o­ne AC First Class, Three AC-2 tier, Ten AC-3 tier, 2 Generators cum guard’s brake vans and o­ne Pantry car.

इंदौर. इंदौर से हबीबगंज के बीच चलाई जाने वाली एसी डबल डेकर ट्रेन के रास्ते में आने वाली सारी बाधाएं दूर हो गई हैं। रेलवे के विभिन्न सेक्शन के अफसरों के सवाल-जवाबों के बीच अब तक फंसी डबल डेकर के जल्द चलने की उम्मीद है। मंगलवार को मध्य सर्कल मुंबई के कमिश्नर रेलवे सेफ्टी (सीआरएस) चेतन बख्शी ने हबीबगंज से बैरागढ़ सेक्शन में ट्रेन चलाने के लिए हरी झंडी दे दी।

प्लेटफॉर्म से लेकर रास्ते तक की स्पीड भी सीआरएस ने तय कर दी है। इसके दो दिन पहले ही पश्चिम सर्कल मुंबई के सीआरएस पद्मसिंह बघेल ने इंदौर से बैरागढ़ सेक्शन में ट्रेन के संचालन को अनुमति दी थी। दोनों ही सीआरएस ने रिसर्च डिजाइन एंड स्टैंडर्ड ऑर्गेनाइजेशन (आरडीएसओ) लखनऊ की डिजाइन, स्पीड और मेंटेनेंस संबंधी रिपोर्ट पॉजीटिव मिलने पर यह अनुमति दी है।

VIJAYAWADA: After the special drive by railway officials at Vijayawada railway station against ticketless travelling last week, authorities witnessed a steep jump in the revenue from ticket sales.

According to SCR chief spokesperson Koganti Sambasiva Rao, chief commercial manager Gnaneswara Rao led the surprise raid last Friday. He said

the surprise raid to detect ticketless traveling helped in getting additional revenue of Rs 5 lakh in just one day. He said all possible escape routes at Vijayawada station were closed with the help of security personnel and inspections were carried out by special teams drawn from various wings of the commercial division.

Nearly 117 ticket checking staff, 20 RPF, 31 GRP personnel and teams from Scouts and Guides were present at the station during the check, said Sambasiva

Rao. He said 1,466 cases were booked against ticketless travelers. and officials collected Rs 5.08 lakh as penalty. The "fortress check" resulted in about 15% jump in journey ticket sales and 33% increase in platform ticket sales.

Deputy CCM R Venkateswara Rao and senior DCM NV Satyanarayana were also present during the raids, said Sambasiva Rao.

With the Andhra Pradesh Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APUFIDC) sanctioning funds for taking up a detailed study on the metro rail project for the city, the GVMC now has the required Rs.1.6 crore for getting the detailed project report ready.Half the amount, Rs.80 lakh, has been sanctioned by the Central government.The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and AAREE are in the run for preparation of the detailed project reports (DPRs). The State government will decide the agency.It is estimated that a km of metro rail project costs Rs.220 crore.“In the city, the DPRs will be prepared for a 20-km stretch mostly on the road on which buses are plying now,” Municipal Commissioner M.V. Satyanarayana said.Mr. Satyanarayana said the issue of deciding the agency would be finalised by the State government by the end of the month.Now, even smaller cities such as Bhopal and Kochi, with a population of around 17 lakh, have been sanctioned metro rail. The population of the GVMC, after merger of Bheemunipatnam and Anakapalle, is estimated to be 19 lakh.Getting metro rail sanctioned is cited as one of the major reasons for merger in spite of their being away from the city, posing problems in administering them.

The entire metro rail project will be funded by the Central government.

रांची रेल मंडल दीपावली को ध्यान में रखते हुए रांची से कटिहार के बीच स्पेशल ट्रेन चलाएगा। छह अक्टूबर से रांची-कटिहार स्पेशल ट्रेन (08631) रांची से प्रत्येक रविवार और बुधवार को दोपहर 2.05 बजे रवाना होगी और अगले दिन सुबह 6.35 बजे कटिहार पहुंचेगी। वहीं कटिहार-रांची स्पेशल ट्रेन (08632) सात अक्टूबर को कटिहार से रांची के लिए दोपहर दो बजे खुलेगी और अगले दिन सुबह 05.35 बजे रांची पहुंचेगी। रांची से यह स्पेशल ट्रेन छह अक्टूबर से 28 नवंबर तक चलेगी।

बिलासपुर. भारतीय रेल के लिए कमाऊ पूत साबित होने वाली दक्षिण पूर्व मध्य रेलवे का प्रदर्शन बीते चार माह में निराशाजनक रहा है। इसके चलते रेलवे बोर्ड तक चिंता में है। चेयरमैन अरुनेंद्र कुमार ने महाप्रबंधक को पत्र लिखकर कहा है कि चालू वित्तीय वर्ष की पहली तिमाही में जोन आय के लक्ष्य से 131 करोड़ रुपए पीछे रहा है। चेयरमैन ने जोन की आय बढ़ाने और खर्च घटाने के लिए ठोस कदम उठाने के निर्देश दिए हैं।

रेलवे बोर्ड के चेयरमैन अरुनेंद्र कुमार ने जोन के रिपोर्ट कार्ड के आधार पर महाप्रबंधक आर्या को पत्र लिखा है। रिपोर्ट कार्ड वित्तीय वर्ष 2013-14 के अपै्रल से जुलाई तक यानी चार महीने के आधार पर तैयार किया गया है। चेयरमैन ने अपने पत्र में लिखा है कि वित्तीय वर्ष के चार महीने बीत चुके हैं, जिसमें जोन की आय को लेकर घातक परिणाम देखने को मिले हैं। यात्री परिवहन में बीते साल हुई आय को देखकर जोन को लक्ष्य दिया गया था।

इसके अलावा अतिरिक्त संसाधनों के उपयोग को ध्यान में रखकर आय में 35.8 फीसदी ग्रोथ का टारगेट दिया गया था। इसके मुकाबले यात्री परिवहन 18.9 फीसदी ही रहा। इससे जोन अपने लक्ष्य से 131 करोड़ रुपए पीछे रह गया।

चेयरमैन ने बताया है कि भारतीय रेल का खर्च जुलाई 2013 के अंत में आय से अधिक हो गया है। इससे भारतीय रेल की आंतरिक पूंजी पर भार बढ़ रहा है। यात्री परिवहन और माल ढुलाई से होने वाली आय में कमी से भविष्य की परियोजनाएं प्रभावित होंगी। चेयरमैन ने इसी आधार पर महाप्रबंधक को आय बढ़ाने और खर्च घटाने के लिए पहल करने और जानकारी बोर्ड को देने के निर्देश दिए हैं।

रिजर्व और अनरिजर्व टिकटों की बिक्री में वृद्धि का प्रस्ताव।

प्राइवेट फ्रेड टर्मिनल के प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी देने में तेजी लाएंगे।

तैयार हो चुकी सिलियारी और दाधापारा साइडिंग से आय अर्जित की जाएगी।

एनटीपीसी सीपत को लोडिंग के लिए विशेष (बीओबीआरएन) रैक उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी।

एसईसीएल, एमसीएल, एफसीआई सहित अन्य पार्टियों के साथ कस्टमर मीट की जाएगी।
