नागपूर : रेल्वेतून प्रवासादरम्यान अज्ञात व्यक्तींनी दिलेले खाद्यपदार्थ खाऊ नका , असा संदेश देण्यासाठी शुक्रवारी आरपीएफ व लोहमार्ग पोलिसांनी नागपूर स्थानकावर काही गाड्यांमध्ये जादूचे प्रयोग करून जनजागृती केली.

गेल्या काही दिवसांपासून रेल्वेत प्रवाशांना खाद्य पदार्थांमधून गुंगीचे औषध देऊन लुटण्याच्या घटना वाढल्या आहेत. सहप्रवाशाने दिलेले पदार्थ खाऊ नये यासाठी रेल्वे प्रशासन तसेच पोलिसांतर्फे नेहमीच प्रवाशांना आवाहन करण्यात येते. मात्र , त्याने फारसा फरक पडलेला नाही. या विषयाकडे प्रवाशांना विशेषत्वाने आकर्षित करण्यासाठी नागपूर रेल्वे पोलिस फोर्स व लोहमार्ग पोलिस यांनी एका जादूगाराची मदत घेतली. पोलिस जादूगारालाच गाडीत घेऊन गेले आणि त्याचे प्रयोग प्रवासी लक्ष देऊन पाहू लागले. राजधानी आणि ए.पी. एक्स्प्रेसमधील प्रवाशांपुढे हे जादूचे प्रयोग झाले. जादूगाराने हवेत हात हलवून बिस्कीट , चॉकलेट , लाडू , पेढे , बिस्कीट , शीतपेयं असे पदार्थ हजर केले आणि प्रवाशांना खायला दिले. प्रवाशांनी कुठलीही शहानिशा न करता ते तोंडात टाकले. असे केल्यानेच लुटण्याच्या घटना घडत असतात. त्यामुळे जादूगार असो की अन्य कुणी , प्रवासादरम्यान कुणाशाही दाट मैत्री करू नका , त्याने दिलेले खाद्यपदार्थ खाऊ नका , असा संदेश या प्रयोगांमधून देण्यात आला. यावेळी आरपीएफचे पोलिस निरीक्षक के.डी. मोरे , उपनिरीक्षक हलदर , उपनिरीक्षक मिश्रा , लोहमार्गचे उपनिरीक्षक जागेश्वर डहाट , आरपीएफचे विकास शर्मा , विनोद राठोड , मलिक परते उपस्थित होते.

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Indian Railways has decided to run special trains between Dibrugarh in Assam and Kochuveli in Kerala to clear extra rush of passengers during the upcoming Dasara season. Train number 06335 Dibrugarh – Kochuveli special will leave Dibrugarh on September 29, October 13 and 27 as well as November 11 at 12.15am (midnight). The train will arrive at Visakhapatnam on Tuesdays (October 1, 15 and 29 and November 12) at 3.15am and depart at 3.35am to reach Kochuveli on Wednesday at 11.45am.

In the return direction, train number 06336 Kochuveli-Dibrugarh special will leave Kochuveli on October 8, 22 and November 5 at 8.15pm. It will reach Visakhapatnam on Thursdays (October 10 and 24 and November 7) at 3.40am, depart at 4am and reach Dibrugarh at 9.55am on Saturday.

The train will pass through Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Coimbatore Junction, Katpadi, Chennai Central, Gudur, Nellore, Ongole, Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Samalkota, Vizianagaram, Berhampur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore, Hijilli, Midnapure, Bankura, Adra, Asansol, Durgapur, Malda Topwn, New Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, New Bangaonl, Kamakhya, Guwahati, Lumding, Dimapur, Mariani and New Tinsukia in both the directions.

The train consists of one second-AC coach, two third-AC coaches, four sleeper-class coaches, six general second-class coaches, six second-class chair car coaches and two second-class sitting-cum-luggage rakes.

खगड़िया: रेल सरंक्षा आयुक्त आरके करदम ने शुक्रवार को रेलवे के गेस्ट हाउस में धमारा रेल हादसे को लेकर गवाहों का बयान लिया। इस दौरान 18 लोगों ने अपना बयान दर्ज कराया। जिसमें तीन के स्टेटमेंट का क्रास हुआ। यानी उनके बयान पर अधिकारियों ने सवाल कर पूछताछ की। जांच का काम शनिवार को भी जारी रहेगा। अधिकारी अभी कुछ भी खुलासा नहीं कर रहे हैं। समस्तीपुर के सीनियर डीसीएम एएमआई हूमांयू ने सिर्फ 18 गवाहों के बयान लिए जाने की पुष्टि की। उन्होंने बताया कि जांच पूरा होने के बाद ही कुछ कहा जा सकता है। उन्होंने गवाही देने वालों का नाम तक बताने से इंकार कर दिया।
बताते चलें कि 19 अगस्त को मानसी-सहरसा रेलखंड के धमारा रेलवे स्टेशन पर सहरसा-पटना राज्यरानी सुपर फास्ट एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन से 28 लोगों की कटकर मौत हो गयी थी। उस समय यहां पहुंचे रेल राज्य मंत्री अधीर रंजन चौधरी ने संरक्षा अधिकारी से जांच कराने की घोषणा की थी। इसी क्रम में संरक्षा अधिकारी गुरुवार को धमारा स्टेशन का स्थलीय निरीक्षण किया था और रेल अधिकारी व कर्मी से पूछताछ की थी।

The Western Railway has urged people not to get inspired by a video showing few boys performing a dangerous stunt on rail tracks.

The video shows teenagers lying on the track while the train passes through. “The video does not appear to have been shot in suburban section of Mumbai as the gap between sleepers and ballast is not so much here for a kid to lie down,” said a Western Railway spokesperson.

Prabhat Kumar, Commissioner of Police (Railways), has urged people to not get inspired and attempt such stunts. He said since no complaint has been registered and the police cannot take any action as of now.

In the past as well, the railway police in Mumbai has received complaints of people performing dangerous stunts on local trains. During a drive on September 11, the Government Railway Police at Kurla had caught 12 teenagers for performing such stunts.

Thousands of people die every year in suburban train accidents in the city. According to information accessed through the Right to Information, more than 3,500 persons lost their lives in accidents in the city last year.

WR two trains cancelled due to flood in Gandhidham



Due to flooding in Gandhidham area Train No. 19131 Bandra Tr. -Bhuj  kutch Exp and train no 19115 Bandra Tr.-Bhuj Sayaji Nagri Exp are cancelled for today i.e 28th September, 2013.

The Southern Railway has announced, the train services between Chennai Beach and Tambaram will be suspended on Saturdays and Sundays due to maintenance work.

It is said that due to maintenance work in the electric lines in the Electric railway track between Chennai Beach and Tambaram, trains will be suspended from today till 3rd of November. Reports said, instead, on Saturdays and Sundays 4 trains will be operated on express train tracks.

Mumbai: Kalyan will get a dedicated stand outside the railway station for autorickshaws that will strictly ply by the e-meter, said an RTO source.

Though e-meter has been fitted on most autos in the region, they opt to ply by share system. There are five-six share auto stands outside the station. “At least one lane/stand will be dedicated for autos that will ply strictly by e-meter,” said deputy RTO V R Gujrathi. He said those who do not want to share the auto and hire it for themselves can do so at this stand.

The process for setting up the stand was initiated on Friday. A detailed discussion took place between Gujrathi and auto union leaders.

The RTO also plans to set up display boards, which will guide commuters from the station to the stand. “We will also have all the share auto stands with boards mentioning the route and fare. Today, there is a chaotic situation and any new comer to Kalyan will be confused which autos he or she should board. We will mention the e-meter plying auto stand in red bold letters,” he stated.

“RTO should not just target auto drivers. Citizens too are at fault. They are not disciplined,” said Kalyan auto union leader Santosh Navale, adding that the union will support RTO.

Gujarathi has provided his personal cellphone number so that people can call him directly to lodge complaints.- Somit Sen

The RTO had conducted surprise checks at the auto stands for past three days and prosecuted 25 errant drivers. “We also cleared the entire station area (main road) of unscrupulous auto drivers and removed some of the encroachment. It is looking better today,” he added.
