Matunga and Mulund stations: Fast trains leaving CST from 10.08 am to 2.51 pm will be diverted o­n slow line between Matunga and Mulund stations. These trains will halt at all stations between Sion and Mulund during the block period. Up line fast trains leaving Thane from 10.50 am to 3.36 pm will halt at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar and Kurla during the block period. The trains will run 15-20 mins behind schedule.

Bandra/Andheri and CST: There's a Mega block between Borivali and Goregoan stations of the western line today. Local trains will not be running between these stations from 10:35 am to 3:35 pm.

All down Harbour line services for Bandra/Andheri leaving CST from 10.20 am to 4.04 pm and all Up harbour line services leaving Bandra/Andheri for CST from 10.40 am to 3.44 pm will be cancelled. Harbour line passengers for Bandra/Andheri are permitted to travel via Main line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm o­n 29th September 2013.

Kurla and CST: All Up Harbour line services for CST leaving Kurla from 11.08 am to 3.20 pm will run via main line between Kurla and CST. These trains will not halt at Currey Road and Chinchpokli.

Borivali and Goregaon: Fast local trains will run on slow like between Goregaon and Borivali stations from 10:35 am to 3:35 pm. Some trains will be cancelled. During the block period, Borivali trains will arrive/leave from platform no. 7/8/2 at Borivali and Virar trains o­n platform no. 1/3 at Borivali. Email This BlogThis! अलवर। उत्तर पश्चिम रेलवे के सीसीएम (मुख्य वाणिज्य प्रबंधक) दीपक छाबड़ा ने कहा है कि जयपुर-दिल्ली मार्ग पर संचालित सवारी गाडियों में जल्द ही डिब्बे बढ़ाए जाएंगे। इसके साथ ही अलवर स्टेशन पर फूड प्लाजा का काम भी जल्द शुरू होगा। छाबड़ा ने स्टेशन पर अन्य सुविधाएं बढ़ाने के भी स्थानीय रेलवे अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए।

छाबड़ा पहली बार शनिवार को अलवर स्टेशन पर आए थे। वे दोपहर करीब 12.30 बजे के बरेली एक्सप्रेस से अलवर स्टेशन पर पहुंचे। सीसीएम ने अलवर को कई सौगात देने की घोष्ााणा की। उन्होंने पूछताछ काउंटर पर ऑटोमेटिक एलसीडी स्क्रीन लगाने, स्टेशन के बाहर टिकट काउंटर बढ़ाने और प्लेट फार्म पर खाली जगह पर टीनशेड लगवाने के निर्देश दिए। इसी दौरान छाबड़ा ने पत्रिका से बातचीत में बताया कि ट्रांसपोर्ट नगर स्थित मालगोदाम को सीमेंटेड कराया जाएगा। वहां काम करने वाले मजदूरों के लिए अलग बैठने की व्यवस्था होगी।

जयपुर दिल्ली रूट पर चलने वाली सवारी गाडियों में डिब्बे बढ़ाए जाएंगे। हालांकि उन्होंने यह खुलासा नहीं किया कि कौन-कौन सी ट्रेनों मे डिब्बों की संख्या बढ़ाई जाएगी। उन्होंने कहा कि इस पर एक दो दिन में फैसला कर लिया जाएगा। इससे पूर्व छाबड़ा का यहां पहुंचने पर स्टेशन अधीक्षक एसएन शर्मा व मुख्य टिकट संग्राहक जीतेन्द्र शर्मा, सीएमआई रामसिंह पवार ने उनका स्वागत किया। इस मौके पर जयपुर मंडल के डीसीएम (मंडल वाणिज्य प्रबंधक) रतनेश झा भी मौजूद थे। बाद मेें वे नारनौल रवाना हो गए।

-प्लेट फार्म नंबर एक बने पूछताछ केंद्र पर ऑटोमेटिक डिस्प्ले बोर्ड लगेंगे। इससे यात्रियों को ट्रेन की हर पल की सूचना मिल सकेगी।

-फूड प्लाजा का निर्माण कार्य जल्द शुरू होगा। इसका नक्शा अनुमोदन के लिए भेजा गया है। मजूंरी मिलते ही काम शुरू हो जाएगा। -टिकट काउंटर की बढ़ेगी।

प्लेट फार्म नंबर एक व दो के दोनों तरफ काउंटर दिए जाएंगे। -स्टेशन के पास नया साइकिल स्टैंड बनेगा। कितने क्षेत्र में स्टैंड बनेगा व उस पर कितनी लागत आएगी, इस पर अभी फैसला नहीं हुआ है।

स्कूल- कॉलेजों से होगा संपर्क

सीसीएम ने स्टेशन के अधीक्षक को निर्देश दिए कि स्कूलों व कॉलेजों से जाकर संपर्क किया जाए ताकि अधिक से अधिक छात्र-छात्राएं एमएसटी बनवा सके। उसके लिए वहां के प्रधानाचार्य से बातचीत भी की जाए।

कानपुर, एक प्रतिनिधि: रेलवे स्टेशन पर आप पहुंचेंगे तो उद्घोषणा सुनाई देगी कि यात्रीगण कृपया ध्यान दें.., हम आपके सफल, सुखद एवं मंगलमय यात्रा की कामना करते हैं। लेकिन रेलवे की यह कामना महज छलावा है, क्योंकि सेंट्रल से रोज गुजरने वाली 320 सवारी ट्रेनों में करीब दो सौ ट्रेनों में आपकी सुरक्षा के लिए पुलिस स्कॉट नहीं होता। यही वजह है कि लुटेरे, बदमाश व जहरखुरान जीआरपी व आरपीएफ की कमजोरी को भांपते हुए ट्रेनों में यात्रियों संग वारदात को अंजाम देकर आराम से निकल जाते हैं और पुलिस बल लकीर पीटता रह जाता है।

सेंट्रल स्टेशन की जीआरपी का स्कॉट मात्र 12 ट्रेनों की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था संभाले है। इतनी ही ट्रेनों का जिम्मा आरपीएफ के पास भी है। इलाहाबाद, लखनऊ, टुंडला, मुगलसराय, झांसी के जीआरपी और आरपीएफ की पुलिस चौकी को भी मिला लें तो करीब 60 से 70 और ट्रेनों में सुरक्षा व्यवस्था बढ़ जाती है। बाकी ट्रेनें राम भरोसे हैं। अब इस कमी की नतीजा जानिए। दिल्ली हावड़ा रूट पर पिछले कुछ वर्षो में सौ से अधिक ट्रेनों में डकैती पड़ चुकी हैं। ये सभी डकैतियां टुंडला से गाजियाबाद के बीच की हैं। जहरखुरानी की 2000 से अधिक घटनाएं हो चुकी हैं। लूट छिनैती की घटनाएं भी साढ़े तीन हजार से ज्यादा हैं। अतिसंवेदनशील क्षेत्रों में सबसे ज्यादा खतरनाक झकरकटी का पुल है। यहां दो ट्रेन यात्रियों की हत्या भी लुटेरे कर चुके हैं।

With a view to provide safety to the road users and to avoid accidents at unmanned Level Crossings, East Coast Railway has taken step to construct Limited Height Sub-way (LHS) near Unmanned Level Crossings in most of the places under its jurisdiction by closing Unmanned Level Crossings.          As a result, the road users will not detain at the Level Crossings till passing of the trains and also the train movement will not be delayed.          As a part of this, the Sambalpur Division of East Coast Railway has commissioned a LHS between Sambalpur City and Maneswar Stations yesterday which has taken o­nly six hours for its installation. The earth under the track was removed by machine and the readymade concrete bridge of 11 feet height and width was placed by a big crane.          The Division has taken Traffic Block between these stations and trains supposed to pass were short terminated from intermediate stations and rescheduled from the originating stations.          Shri Devraj panda, Divisional Railway Manager of Sambalpur Division actively participated in this major safety related work and ensured completion of this work in the specific time, so that, train movements will not be disrupted.

The railway overbridge (ROB) being constructed in place of Lakkar Pul will be complete by November this year. The work on the ROB was delayed as some part of it was to be constructed by the state government through the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation.This was disclosed in a letter by the Union Railway Minister, Mallikarjun Kharge, to the Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari, who had sought his personal intervention for the early completion of the overbridge.The Railways were supposed to construct two spans, one straight and another curved, while the approach roads were to be completed by the Municipal Corporation.The minister said, while the work on the straight span was expected to be completed by October this year, the work on the curved span would be completed by November this year.The railway bridge portion consists of two separate legs in Y shape and each leg is of two road widths and another leg is on a curve having two spans. The foundation and the sub-structure of the straight span have been completed. The super structure girder for one span has been fabricated, tested and brought to the site for launching and the girder for another span has also been fabricated and is undergoing testing. The work on this span is expected to be completed by October 2013.The foundation and sub-structure of the curved span has been completed while design of the pier cap is in progress and is expected to be completed by November this year.

Union Minister for Railways Mallikarjun Kharge said on Saturday that the new railway projects are getting delayed as the State government is slow in sanctioning funds and acquiring land.

After flagging off the Yeshwantpur-Mangalore-Yeshwantpur16565/16566 Weekly Express, Kharge said that the Union government is quick in implementing the railway projects, but the State government is not able to cope up with the Centre in this regard.

The Centre has taken up 13 new railway projects and some are almost complete. Four more projects will be completed in the next four to five months.

For the new railway project, the State had to release Rs 700 crore, but till now only Rs 50 crore has been released with delay in the acquisition of land to lay the new track.

Mangalore-Kadur railway track laying work has been completed and  it will become functional in another two months. Kottur-Harihar route will start in another three months and Kolar-Chikballapur route has completed trials, he said.

Kharge further said, all the projects which were promised by the Central government have been completed, for women safety, Centre is planning to appoint women constables and inspectors.

COIMBATORE: Apprehensive about the proposed 15% hike in railway freight tariff from October 1, representatives from various industries in Coimbatore feel that the burden will be too much for them to bear. "The hike has come at a most inopportune time when the entire industrial scenario is down due to factors such as economic slowdown and lack of orders," Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA) president R Ramachandran said. Since industries in the region are going through one of the most difficult times, he urged the government to reverse the proposal."Diesel prices are being hiked on a regular basis and the proposed hike in railway freight tariff will be damaging to industry," he said. Industries are finding it difficult to work out the costs for their products due to these factors. According to him, the proposed hike is contrary to the efforts taken by the same government to implement various measures to boost the growth of MSMEs in the country. "Under these circumstances, chances for cost-cutting seem to be remote and ultimately the added costs are transferred to the consumers," he added.Representatives from MSMEs say that the proposed hike has come as a rude shock to them. "Government has now pushed us into yet another crisis and it will be difficult for the MSMEs to stay competitive," district president of Tamil Nadu Association of Cottage and Micro Enterprises (TACT) J James said. Manufacturers here are mostly dependent on rail for transporting raw materials from northern states to Coimbatore and sending the finished goods to various markets.

"We are already struggling to compete against products made in northern states due to price difference and the proposed hike will have a telling effect on MSMEs here," said James. At a time when the price rise of most products affect the common man, it is feared that the proposed hike in railway freight tariff is expected to result in further increase in prices of commodities. "Such revision of tariff should be announced only in the railway budget and this is not a healthy trend," said K Kathirmathiyon, secretary of Coimbatore Consumer Cause.

The railways has started to revise tariff along the lines of oil companies that hike the prices of fuels regularly. "What is the need for the railway budget when the railways are taking liberty to revise the tariff during the financial year?," he questioned.

NASHIK: The Maharashtra government has urged the Central Railway (CR) to commence work planned for the forthcoming Kumbh Mela in Nashik.  The Office of the Nashik Divisional Commissioner has sent a letter to the CR, urging it to undertake Kumbh-related works at the earliest. The state has also urged the CR to start a permanent reservation counter at Trimbakeshwar town and begin construction work of platforms 4 and 5 at the Nashik Road Railway station.

With just 19 months left for the Kumbh Mela scheduled in 2015-16, the Maharashtra government has already twice asked the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) and the Public Works Department (PWD) to commence infrastructure work related to the Kumbh, given that such work will require 18 to 20 months to be completed.

“Follow-ups pertaining to Kumbh work are being done regularly,” divisional revenue commissioner Ravindra Jadhav told on Saturday.

In its last Mumbai meeting, the High Power Committee for Kumbh had in principle approved a Rs.2,297-crore Kumbh plan for all government departments, including Rs 1,031.91 crore for the NMC, Rs.654.21 crore for the PWD, Rs.80.76 crore for the Water Resources Department WRD and Rs.25.75 crore for the Railways. The plan will soon be presented to the apex committee of the state government, chaired by chief minister Prithviraj Chavan, for approval.

Bangalore: M. Mallikarjuna Kharge, Union railway minister urged the state government to immediately release its share of funds for the railway projects including Bangalore- Hassan railway lines and ensure quick land acquisition process to complete the ongoing projects.He was speaking after flagging off the Yeshwantpur-Mangalore Weekly Express in Bangalore, Kharge said that only Rs 50 crore has been released by the State government, while the Railways released Rs 320 crore. “We have earmarked over Rs. 700 crore for projects in Karnataka and the funding should be shared equally by the State government. In the next six months, the government has to release the balance Rs 650 crore at the rate of Rs 109 crore a month, but it is lagging behind,” he said.The Yeshwantpur-Mangalore Weekly Express will leave Yeshwanthpur at 11.55 p.m. on Sundays and arrive at Mangalore at 5.40 p.m. on Mondays. It will start from Mangalore at 8 pm on Mondays to reach Yeshwantpur at 1.30 pm on Tuesdays. The train will stop at Banaswadi, Krishnarajapura, Bangarpet, Kuppam, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Shoranur, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakkara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur and Kasargod. It will have one two-tier air-conditioned coach, one three-tier air-conditioned coach, seven second class sleeper coaches, six second class coaches and two second class sitting-cum-luggage vans.
