Udaipur: The luxury train, ‘Royal Rajasthan on Wheels’ started by Rajasthan Tourism in conjunction with Indian Railways will start on its journey from Safdarjung railway station in New Delhi  on October 6. There will be 26 passengers on board the train as compared to the actual limit, which is 82.

During its journey of seven nights or eight days, the train would start on its royal journey from New Delhi and travel through Jodhpur, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Jaipur, Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh and then enter Agra for the tourists to visit Taj Mahal. Apart from Agra in Uttar Pradesh, the train would travel through Varanasi back to Delhi.

Proving to be a perfect example of travelling extravaganza, this train offers a travel experience that attracts tourists from far and wide. With interiors furnished with details that remind one of the bygone era of splendor and magnificence, this train contains all items of luxury such as ‘spa’, ‘gym’ among others.

The royal luxury train, designed to satisfy the growing demand of luxury train travelling, has a capacity of 82 passengers on board and its fare is 5775 $ per person and its cost per person per suite is estimated to be 11,200 $.

Train services were badly affected for the better part of the day as Samaikyandhra protests continued unabated and further intensified.Rail roko protests were held at Rayalacheruvu, Gooty, Dharmavaram and Kadiri leading to hitting the trains’ schedule for the day.Anantapur YSRC MLA B. Gurunath Reddy held rail roko at Anantapur station which received good response from other Samaikyandhra activists besides YSRC cadre leading to chaos. Activists of various JACs gheraoed the DRM’s office while police forces were mobilised in good numbers to prevent any untoward incident. गुवाहटी से लालगढ़ के बीच चलने वाली अवध-असम एक्सप्रेस का 15 अक्टूबर से टोहाना के रेलवे स्टेशन पर ठहराव शुरू हो जाएगा। जिसका लाभ टोहाना, जाखल ही नहीं बल्कि पूरे क्षेत्र के व्यापारियों व आमजन को होगा। इससे पूर्व टोहाना में शताब्दी एक्सप्रेस का ठहराव होने के बाद क्षेत्र के लिए यह दूसरी सौगात है। यह बात सासद डॉ. अशोक तंवर ने आज यहा जारी एक ब्यान में कही। उन्होंने बताया कि टोहाना के व्यापारियों व अन्य क्षेत्रवासियों के साथ वह स्वयं भी काफी समय से इस ट्रेन का यहा ठहराव करवाने के लिए प्रयासरत थे। इसके लिए उन्होंने लगातार केंद्रीय रेलवे मंत्री व मंत्रालय से प्रयास जारी रखे। गत दिनों 26 सितंबर को टोहाना में अवध-असम एक्सप्रेस के ठहराव को मंजूरी मिल गई थी।
डॉ. तंवर ने कहा कि दिल्ली जाने के लिए यह गाड़ी प्रात: 3 बजकर 32 मिनट पर टोहाना से रवाना होगी और दिल्ली से वापस टोहाना आने वालों को यह गाड़ी सायं 7 बजकर 15 मिनट पर टोहाना स्टेशन पर उतारेगी। समय के लिहाज से यह ट्रेन आमजन के साथ-साथ व्यापारी वर्ग के लिए भी काफी अनुकूल है।
सासद ने बताया कि रेलवे मंत्रालय से मिली सूचना के अनुसार अवध-असम एक्सप्रेस 15 अक्टूबर से टोहाना स्टेशन पर रुकनी शुरू हो जाएगी। उन्होंने बताया कि सिरसा संसदीय क्षेत्र में रेल सुविधाओं का भी विस्तार किया जाएगा।
सासद का किया जाएगा सम्मानित
अवध-असम एक्सप्रेस के ठहराव के लिए विभिन्न संगठन करेगे डॉ. अशोक तंवर का सम्मान अवध-असम एक्सप्रेस गाड़ी का ठहराव निश्चित होने पर उनकी यह माग पूरी हो गई है। इस माग के पूरी होने पर नगर के विभिन्न संगठनों ने सासद डॉ. अशोक तंवर के सहयोग के लिए 12 अक्टूबर को सायं छह बजे उनके सम्मान में एक समारोह आयोजित करने का निर्णय लिया है।
विभिन्न संगठनों ने गुरदीप सिह भट्टी की अध्यक्षता में एक कोर कमेटी का गठन किया जिसमें हरियाणा प्रदेश व्यापार मंडल के अध्यक्ष राजेंद्र ठकराल, हरियाणा व्यापार मंडल के प्रधान संजय रेवड़ी, दैनिक यात्री संघ के प्रधान राजेश नागपाल, शेखर बजाज, सीनियर सिटीजन परिषद् के अध्यक्ष हसराज नागपाल को शामिल किया गया है। कोर कमेटी सदस्य 12 अक्तूबर को एक सम्मान समारोह का आयोजन कर सासद डा. अशोक तंवर को सम्मानित करेगे।

मुरादाबाद। दुर्गा पूजा पर यात्रियों की भारी भीड़ को देखते हुए उत्तर रेलवे ने आठ से 22 अक्टूबर तक तीन जोड़ी स्पेशल ट्रेन चलाने का फैसला लिया है।
आठ से 22 अक्टूबर तक 05517/05518 सहरसा-अंबाला कैंट साप्ताहिक ट्रेन चलेगी। इसमें 05517 स्पेशल ट्रेन हर मंगलवार और शनिवार को सहरसा से सुबह 09:35 बजे चलकर अंबाला कैंट अगले दिन दोपहर में 02:30 बजे आएगी। इसी तरह 05518 स्पेशल ट्रेन अंबाला कैंट से बुधवार-रविवार को सुबह 09:10 बजे चलकर सहरसा स्टेशन पर दूसरे दिन सुबह 10:10 बजे पहुंचेगी। यह ट्रेन मसी खगरिया, हसनपुर रोड, रुसेरा घाट, समस्तीपुर, मुजफ्फरपुर, बापूधाम मोतिहारी, बेलिया, नटकटिया गंज, गोरखपुर, खलीलाबाद, बस्ती, गोंडा, सीतापुर कैंट, शाहजहांपुर, बरेली, मुरादाबाद और सहारनपुर स्टेशनों पर रुकेगी।
03003/03004 हावड़ा-जम्मूतवी साप्ताहिक सुपरफास्ट ट्रेन 10 से 17 अक्टूबर तक संचालित होगी। 03003 स्पेशल ट्रेन हावड़ा से गुरुवार को दोपहर 11:55 बजे चलकर जम्मूतवी स्टेशन पर तीसरे दिन रात 10:25 बजे पहुंचेगी। 03004 स्पेशल ट्रेन शनिवार सुबह 08:10 बजे चलकर हावड़ा स्टेशन पर तीसरे दिन सुबह 07:10 बजे पहुंचेगी। यह ट्रेन डूंगरपुर, असनोल,धनबाद, कोडेरमा, गया, बाबुआ रोड, मुगलसराय, वाराणसी, प्रतापगढ़, राय बरेली, लखनऊ, बरेली, मुरादाबाद, सहारनपुर, अंबाला कैंट, लुधियाना, जालंधर कैंट और चक्की बैंक रुकेगी। जबकि 05521/05522 दरभंगा-अंबाला कैंट साप्ताहिक स्पेशल ट्रेन का संचालन भी 10 से 21 अक्टूबर के बीच होगा। इसमें 05521 ट्रेन दरभंगा स्टेशन से हर रविवार और गुरुवार को दोपहर 11:30 बजे छूटने के बाद अंबाला कैंट 02:30 बजे आएगी। 05522 अंबाला कैंट से सोमवार-गुरुवार को रात 09:10 बजे छूटकर दरभंगा दूसरे दिन 04:15 बजे पहुंचेगी। यह ट्रेन समस्तीपुर, मुजफ्फरपुर, बापूधाम मोतिहारी, नरकटियागंज, गोरखपुर, खलीलालबाद, बस्ती, गोंडा, सीतापुर कैंट, शाहजहांपुर, बरेली, मुरादाबाद और शाहजहांपुर स्टेशनों पर रुकेगी।
एडीआरएम ने की डिस्प्ले व्यवस्था की पड़ताल
शनिवार को दोपहर एडीआरएम हितेंद्र मल्होत्रा ने रेलवे स्टेशन का औचक निरीक्षण कर स्पेशल ट्रेनों की जानकारी के लिए की गई डिस्प्ले व्यवस्था की पड़ताल की। इस दौरान उन्होंने सीआरएस को स्पेशल ट्रेनों की सूची बड़े डिस्प्ले बोर्ड पर जारी करने के आदेश दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि डिस्प्ले बोर्ड इस तरह लगाया जाए कि सभी यात्रियों को आसानी से स्पेशल ट्रेन की जानकारी मिल सके। साथ ही उन्होंने रेलवे प्लेटफार्म पर वाहन खड़े किए जाने के खिलाफ रेलकर्मियों को फटकार लगाई।

From being a struggling actor to a soon-to-be producer and director, Indian Railway's guard H Kumar talks about his life and struggles to Yoshita Sengupta aboard the Borivli slow.



In the middle of the photo shoot at Churchgate station, when H Kumar happily poses for us with a hoarding of Phata Poster Nikla Hero as the backdrop, a commuter rushes past, gets into a train and yells, “Kumar sahab hamare hero hain.” I smile at him, but H Kumar, is still in character, holding his pose and expression. It’s probably something he learnt in his three month-long acting workshop in 1984, in which veteran actor Pankaj Kapur would teach the class and at times bring along his then 4-year-old son Shahid, the lead actor in the film, the poster of which Kumar stands against. 

“I’m no Dilip Kumar or Amitabh Bachchan. I didn’t ‘struggle’ in the conventional sense. I didn’t sleep on the roads or outside film studios; nor did I go hungry for days,” H Kumar tells me seconds after we enter his office, a rather lonely guard’s cabin at the end of the 8.33pm Churchgate-Borivli slow local.

He rises from his high chair and stands at the door when the train is about to arrive at Marine Lines station, takes a quick look at the platform and continues, “My father passed away when I was very young. He was only 50. I had four sisters and a brother to take care of, I couldn’t afford to simply struggle on the streets. I took up this job after my father in 1988. He was also in the railways. I would fend for my entire family.” That didn’t mean he had to give up his childhood dream of becoming an actor.

For the first five years of his job as a guard in his hometown Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, Kumar would often visit Mumbai with his photographs to get a break in Bollywood. “I had already acted in a small budget film in 1986. It was called Daaku Bijlee and was made by a Hyderabadi pilot, who was interested in making films,” he says, signaling to the motorman in the front of the train to start moving away from Charni Road station.

Kumar would visit studios and producers for a role and they would always ask him to leave his photographs behind and promised to call if they had a role for him. No one, of course, ever called.

But that never worried him because he had a great job. He would travel in an air-conditioned coach to Mumbai, stay in a luxurious railway guesthouse in Mumbai Central and eat good food.

In 1993, he thought he was too far away from his dream and asked for a transfer to Mumbai.

“Mumbai mein do hi cheez chalti hain, ek local train, jo main chalata hoon aur ek kismat jo main aazmaane aa gaya (Only two things work in Mumbai; the local train and destiny, which I came to pursue).” Since then, he only managed to get small roles in a few unsuccessful Bollywood films and a couple of regional films, the most notable one being the role of an inspector in the 1998 Dharmendra starer Kalicharan, that didn’t do as well as the one Subhash Ghai directed in 1976.

Three decades and almost no success later, Kumar has neither given up on the industry nor is he a bitter man. “Why should I be bitter? The railway has given me a 1000 sq ft apartment in Bandra, I get free travel, my medical expenses are taken care off, my salary is Rs70,000 and I have 10 years of service still to go, I am not overworked, my children study in good schools and I’m soon going to make my own film,” he says, while walking across the compartment to look at the train arriving at Mumbai Central station.

Five years ago, Kumar registered his production house — Kumar Sippy Films and became a member of the India Motion Picture Producers’ Association. In November, he will start shooting for his first film as a director and producer Tu Hi Mera Pyaar, which he says is “loosely inspired” from the 1979 Mithun Chakraborty film Tarana that was made by Rajshri Productions. It’s a simple concept — a city boy from a well-to-do family falls in love with a good looking girl from the Banjara community that travel across the country and camps in tents. He hands me a CD and says, “This (the CD) has the songs of my film. Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik and Sadhana Sargam are the singers. The music directors are Ketan-Suman, they are new.” Who are the actors, I ask. “I am considering Jackky Bhagnani. Govinda’s nephew Vinay Anand, who has done well for himself in Bhojpuri films, is also a good option,” he says. “Ladka khoobsurat hai, accha dancer bhi hai, apne budget ke hisab se theek hai,” he adds.

The budget for the film is Rs1 crore, some of the money is his own, some his friends have invested and a lot of it has come from one Abhay Veer Solanki, who Kumar says, belongs to a royal family from Bharatpur, Rajasthan.

After the train leaves Lower Parel station, I ask him if the prospect of the film failing at the box office scares him and he quickly dismisses the possibility. “I know A to Z of this industry. There is no way I am going to incur a loss. I’ll easily convert the Rs1 crore we are investing into Rs2 crore from the distribution, audio, video, satellite and oversees rights,” he says with an unnerving
confidence.

As I stand at the door looking at my destination fast approaching, he asks me the only question of the night, “Don’t you ever want to become an actor?” No, I tell him, I always wanted to be a writer.

“Write for me someday,” he says, signaling the motorman to leave the platform and waving at me, once again lonely in his cabin inside a crowded train on a monsoon night.

स्थानीय जनप्रतिनिधियों की उदासीनता के कारण बेगूसराय रेलवे स्टेशन उपेक्षाओं का दंश झेलने को मजबूर है। जिसके कारण जिलावासियों में काफी नाराजगी देखी जा रही है।
जानकारी के अनुसार 15227/28 यशवंतपुर एक्सप्रेस, 15715/16 गरीबनवाज एक्सप्रेस, 15635/ 36 ओखा-गोहाटी द्वारिकाधाम एक्सप्रेस, 15631/32 बीकानेर-गोहाटी, 15903/04 गोहाटी- नई दिल्ली राजधानी एक्सप्रेस, 15621/22, कामख्या-आनंदविहार, 15623/24 कामख्या-जोधपुर, 12501/02 पूर्वोत्तर संपर्क क्रांति गोहाटी-नई दिल्ली सुपरफास्ट एक्सप्रेस आदि ट्रेनें बेगूसराय स्टेशन से थ्रू गुजर जाती हैं, परंतु यहां रुकती नहीं है।

Jaipur: The festival of Diwali is not far and the Railways already thought of gifting the people ahead of the festival by running three special trains on route from Jaipur to Asansol. The addition of these trains have not only saved commuters from waiting for long hours in the queue but also provided relief. The trains would ply from Asansol to Jaipur and back to Asansol on a weekly basis. There are weekly trains from Ahmedabad to Jaipur and back to Ahmedabad. Another train would be seen on the tracks of Ahmedabad to Lucknow and back to Ahmedabad on a weekly basis.

The train from Jaipur to Asansol was flagged off on Saturday at eight in the morning.

As per information released by the Ministry of Railways, the train from Jaipur to Asansol was flagged off on October 5 will continue to ply on an weekly basis till November 30. The train would start from Jaipur at 8 am on every Saturday and would reach Asansol the next day at 9.25 am. The train from Asansol to Jaipur would start on Friday at 9 am from Asansol and reach Jaipur at 6.30 am. The schedule will be followed till November 29.

The train would stop at Dhanbad, Koderma, Gaya, Dehri on Sone, Sasaram, Mughalsarai, Allahabad, Kanpur, Tundla, Agra Fort, Bandikui, Dausa, and Gandhi Nagar stations.

The timings of the Ahmedabad-Jaipur-Ahmedabad weekly trains are a special train from Ahmedabad to Jaipur from October 18 to November 29 with the train starting from Ahmedabad, every Friday, at 4.30 pm and reach Jaipur on the next day at 6.35 am. The train from Jaipur would start from October 19 at 8 am and reach Ahmedabad at 7.35 pm the next day. This schedule is expected to continue till November 30. The train would cross Sabarmati, Mehsana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Sirohi Road, Falna, Rani, Marwad junction, Byavar, Ajmer, Kishangarh, and Fulehra stations.

The special train that would ply on Ahmedabad-Lucknow-Ahmedabad route would be scheduled from October 14 to November 25 as: Special weekly train would start from Ahmedabad on every Monday at 11.35 am and reach the next day at Jaipur at 11.20 am, at Lucknow at 2.30 pm. The train from Lucknow to Ahmedabad would be scheduled on a weekly basis from October 16 to November 27 with train from Lucknow starting at 2.30 pm and reaching Jaipur at 6.35 pm, and on Thursday to Ahmedabad at 7.15 pm. This train would stop at Sabarmati, Mehsana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Falna, Marwar Junction, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Jaipur, Gandhi Nagar, Dausa, Bandikui, Bharatpur, Achnera, Mathura Junction, Mathura Chhavni, Haathras city, Kaasganj, Gunjdudwada, Farukkabad, Kanauj, Kanpur, and Anwarganj stations.

अमृतसर रेलवे स्टेशन की खस्ता हो चुकी यार्ड को ट्रैक पर लाने के लिए रेल मुख्यालय बड़ौदा हाउस गंभीर हो गया है। डी-रेलमेंट की घटनाओं पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए अधिकारियों ने चक्कर काटने शुरू कर दिए हैं। यार्ड के नवनिर्माण के लिए फिरोजपुर रेल डिवीजन व स्थानीय अधिकारियों से विचार चर्चा के लिए बड़ौदा हाउस से चीफ ट्रैफिक प्लानिंग मैनेजर (सीटीपीएम) संजय मिश्रा शनिवार को विशेष रूप से अमृतसर पहुंचे।
सीटीपीएम संजय मिश्रा शनिवार सुबह विशेष बोगी के जरिए अमृतसर आए। उन्होंने सुबह रेलवे स्टेशन के एसएस कार्यालय में अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक की। इसमें रेल यार्ड के नवनिर्माण के लिए तैयार नक्शे पर अधिकारियों के विचार लिए। इसमें अमृतसर के असिस्टेंट ट्रैफिक मैनेजर अशोक सिंह सलारिया, एसएस विमल कुमार, सीनियर डिवीजनल इंजीनियर एनपीएस बग्गा व अन्य अधिकारी मौजूद थे।
नक्शा हो चुका है तैयार
अमृतसर के एटीएम अशोक सिंह सलारिया ने कहा कि खस्ता हाल यार्ड की दशा सुधारने के लिए विभाग ठोस कदम उठाने जा रहा है। यार्ड नए सिरे तैयार होगा। इसके लिए नक्शा भी तैयार हो चुका है। यार्ड में रेल ट्रैक को उखाड़ नया ट्रैक बिछाया जाएगा। यार्ड का पूरी तरह से कंप्यूटरीकरण किया जाएगा। सलारिया ने कहा कि नक्शे पर सीटीपीएम व अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों द्वारा मोहर लगने के बाद आने वाले दिनों में निर्माण कार्य शुरू हो जाएगा। यार्ड में आधुनिक पावर हाउस भी बनेगा।
रेल यार्ड का निरीक्षण किया
यार्ड के नक्शे पर विचार करने के बाद सीटीपीएम संजय मिश्रा ने यार्ड का निरीक्षण किया। बता दें कि इस यार्ड का निर्माण देश की आजादी से पहले किया गया था। उसके बाद इसमे कोई बदलाव नहीं किया गया। यार्ड को तैयार हुए 99 वर्ष हो चुके हैं।

Reaching the railway station was a difficult task on the two-day bandh on Friday-Saturday, as traffic was stopped at several places and people going to the railway station either by four-wheelers or two-wheelers had to face a tough time crossing the hurdles.A person taking his son to the railway station was stopped twice in the evening at Kancharapalem. At one point, protesters stopped vehicles for sometime and let them go only after making them raise slogans in favour of Samaikyandhra.A short stretch later on the service road, traffic was totally stopped by placing a long tube and burning tyres. To overcome it he had to either go back to the highway or take a detour via the narrow pathway abutting the houses adjacent to the highway. Finally the man reached the highway near Tatichetlapalem. From then on, thankfully, it was a hassle-free ride. But those without their vehicles found it very difficult to go to the station or return from there.

अमरोहा। मुरादाबाद रेलवे के डीआरएम सुधीर अग्रवाल की स्पेशल ट्रेन शुक्रवार को गजरौला रेलवे स्टेशन के प्लेटफार्म तीन पर रूकते ही स्टाफ में हड़कंप मच गया।
मुरादाबाद से निरीक्षण को निकले डीआरएम ने यहां अपनी स्पेशल ट्रेन से उतरकर प्लेटफार्म, स्टेशन मास्टर कक्ष, सिगनल, कैंटीन, प्रतीक्षालय, टिकट खिड़की, माल गोदाम साइड आदि का निरीक्षण किया। इस दौरान सफाई व्यवस्था समेत तमाम खामियां मिलने पर स्टेशन अधीक्षक प्रेमचंद को सुधार के निर्देश दिए। वहीं उन्होंने सभी व्यवस्थाएं दुरुस्त बनाने की सख्त हिदायत दी। हालांकि इस दौरान स्टेशन अधीक्षक ने रेलवे फाटक पर लगने वाले जाम के दौरान ट्रेनें लेट होने समेत कई दिक्कतें उनके सामने रखीं। इसके साथ ही डीआरएम ने सिगनल, रेल पथ व निर्माण से जुड़े साथ आए मातहत अधिकारियों को खामिया दूर करने के निर्देश दिए। इस दौरान स्थानीय रेलवे प्रशासन में हड़कंप मचा रहा। दोपहर करीब 11:50 बजे डीआरएम अपनी स्पेशल ट्रेन में सवार होकर दिल्ली की ओर रवाना हो गए। इससे पूर्व उन्होंने अमरोहा रेलवे स्टेशन का भी निरीक्षण कर अधिकारियों को जरूरी निर्देश दिए।

डीआरएम स्पेशल के रूकते ही गायब हुए ठेले
गजरौला : डीआरएम स्पेशल के रूकते ही प्लेटफार्म पर लगे खाद्य पदार्थो के ठेले गायब हो गए। आरपीएफ स्टाफ ने उन्हें खदेड़ दिया। हालांकि डीआरएम स्पेशल के रवाना होने के बाद चाय-पकौड़ी, फल इत्यादि सामान बेचने वाले पुन आ धमके थे।

गजरौला : डीआरएम मुरादाबाद को स्थानीय नागरिकों ने ज्ञापन सौंपकर एक्सप्रेस ट्रेनों के ठहराव की मांग उठाई। उन्होंने बताया कि एक्सप्रेस ट्रेनों का ठहराव नहीं होने के कारण स्थानीय यात्रियों को दिल्ली व लखनऊ दिशा में सफर के लिए काफी परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ता है।

डीआरएम को भी चखना पड़ा जाम का स्वाद
गजरौला : डीआरएम स्पेशल को भी रेलवे फाटक के जाम का स्वाद चखना पड़ा। डीआरएम स्पेशल ट्रेन जाम के कारण प्लेटफार्म तीन पर खड़ी रही। चूंकि फाटक बंद नहीं हो पा रहा था। ऐसे में आरपीएफ व जीआरपी के जवानों ने फाटक पर पहुंचकर सड़क का ट्रैफिक रोका। तब फाटक बंद होने पर डीआरएम स्पेशल ट्रेन रवाना हो सकी।
