I want to know about the quality of food given in Garibrath Express i.e from jammutawi to kathgodam.

If there is no pantry on train then instead of buying from anywhere its better to buy online

There is no pantry car on this train and Vendors may sell food on the train, or you might have an attendant taking orders for meals which will be loaded at various stations enroute. Food quality is likely to be worse on this train.So you should order it online

All The Konkan Trains must stop at Diva Station and all the North/South/East/Central Trains must Stop at Dombivli Station

May I ask how to carry a bike(Procedure) in a train.

I am living in Haridwar and would like to carry that to Jaipur.

For bikers who want to book their motorcycles as parcel in train.
You can book your bike as parcel in train is two ways.
1) As parcel: book in advance it will take its own time to reach, no ticket required.(Between 3 to 7days)
2) Along with ticket: if you traveling in same train, you can take your motorcycle with you. Bit costly and quicker compare to first one. (Comes along with you in same train)
For both types of parcel you need to make sure petrol tank is empty and pack the bike with Gunny bag. And mention source and destination places on piece of cardboard, which should be clear and visible. Fill the application along with source and destination address, make of vehicle, registration number, weight of vehicle, cost of vehicle etc.
As Parcel without ticket, you need to book in parcel office timings that’s between 9AM to 5PM. And taking delivery also in Parcel office working hours. They charge less compared to Parcel along with ticket. But it might take anytime between 3-7 days.
Along with ticket is 2nd option, where you need to do parcel booking option 2-3 hours in advance to your train's actual departure time. Show the ticket and book the bike. They send the bike along with you (Parcel wagon) in same train. You need to make sure whether the bike is loaded in parcel wagon and placed in good position. Its not compulsory but to be on safe side, you need to pay Rs. 30-50/- to porter and make sure its loaded. If you go one hour early to departure you can check yourself.

Bike Registration Certificate in Xerox & train ticket Copy. Some times they may ask you License for identity proof.
And one Important thing which I learnt from my trip. Owner of the Bike (on whoms name the bike registered) and person who traveling Name should be same. Railway people check the RC copy and train ticket copy. I have taken my cousins bike, while going I didn't have any issues, but while coming back I’ve seen the hell. Waited for 4 hours begging them to book the bike. At last d paid 600/- extra as bribe and booked the bike.

Sub:- Initiation of Appropriate Departmental proceeding against Mr. Shiv Shankar S/o Late Kishori Lal R/o 2,T.B.Sapru Road, Allahabad  an Typist in the office of Chief Electrical Engineer (CORE) Allahabad, for committing atrocity on elder citizen of  80  years, grabbing his land, harassing and threatening the whole family including women, children and trying to influence the Hon'ble High Court and Lower Courts.

With due respect I beg to say that I am an sunior citizen of 80 years and is head of a joint family of 7 people,My younger brother was Late Jang Bahadur Patel Ex M.P. from Phulpur (twice). After the death of my younger brother all Anti-social elements put their hawkish eye on our ancestral property, main culprit among them is Shiv Shankar S/o late Kishori Lal (An Typist in the office of Chief Electrical Engineer , Railway Electrification,Allahabad) Brief facts justifying initiation of appropriate departmental proceedings against him are -
1.We had filed Civil Suit No. 168/1965 against Sri S.C. Baseria for arrears of rent and ejectment, the said suit was decreed in our favour in 2nd Appeal No. 1675/72 which came to be allowed by judgment and decree dated 6.04.1979.
2.The Decree dated 6.04.1979 has been put into Execution, Judgment debtors procrastinated the proceedings by adopting various lingering tactics. Sri Shiv Shankar was illegally inducted in to possession by judgment debtors S.C. Baseria and his Heirs.
3.Shiv Shankar is rank stranger to the proceeding and also unauthorized  occupant, his continuation in house is illegal and in the tooth of judgment dated 6.04.1979, Sri Shiv Shankar (An Typist in the office of Chief Electrical Engineer, Railway Electrification, Allahabad) is the real trouble maker. It is he who is not allowing the Decree-holder to reap the fruit of almost 50 years of litigation.
4.Shiv Shankar being stranger to proceeding and unauthorized occupant does not have any interest in Lis. He is not allowing the Decree-holder to reap the fruits of Decree. He has unnecessarily dragged the Decree-holders in the various frivolous proceedings such as Suit No.115/2003  ,which was dismissed on 22/04/2013 and Misc Case No.6/2003 which he filed with his relatives and others to Harass us but the judgement was done and Misc case was dismissed on 1/02/2013  .He had also filed another Misc objection No.-14/2012 which was also dismissed on  15/03/2013,,Then again he filed Civil Revision No.100/2013 against us which was also dismissed on 16/5/2013 By District Judge . Shiv Shankar did not stopped but went to Hon”ble High Court and Filed Writ-31928/13 which was also dismissed on 31/05/2013.
5.Shiv Shankar uses various names to file Cases and Writs such as Sheo Shankar Lal ,  Shankar lal,  Sheo Shankar and Shiv Shankar to deceive the HON’BLE Courts and the applicant.
6.  Shiv Shankar and his clan are forcing me to sell my property to them otherwise they will annihilate my whole family. They are sending various mafia and goondas to threaten me and they pride themselves that a local mafia of Allahabad is their relative and he will kill us all if I don’t sell my land to them. They threatened that they will falsely implicate us in SC/ST act and will kill whole family if we ever visit our property at 2 T,B,Sapru Road, Allahabad.    Shiv Shankar”s nephew Neeraj is an renowned GOONDA of locality and had said that he will burn alive me and my family and his brother Rajesh had stolen various articles from our house.
7.      Shiv Shankar is living at my property at 2, T.B.Sapru Road, without paying any rent to anyone. Shiv Shankar may also be taking Housing Rent Allowance from Railways which is wrong as he is living in a free accommodation. 
It is therefore earnestly requested that appropriate departmental proceedings may be initiated against Mr. Shiv Shankar S/o Late Kishori Lal R/o 2, T.B.Sapru Road, Allahabad (An Typist in office of Chief Electrical Engineer, Railway Electrification, Allahabad) as the action of Shiv Shankar amounts to gross misconduct.
    Kindly inform me about the actions taken against Shiv Shankar.

·The 64401 Ghaziabad –DelhiJn. EMU train will depart from Ghaziabadat 10.20 a.m. instead of 10.30 a.m. as printed earlier.
·The 64906 Ghaziabad –Palwal EMU train will depart from Ghaziabadat 05.05 p.m. instead of 05.10 p.m. as printed earlier.
·The 54539 Hazrat Nizamuddin- Ambala passenger train will depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin at 03.00 a.m. and from New Delhi at 03.30 a.m. instead of 03.50 a.m. as printed earlier.
·The 12903 Mumbai Central- Amritsar Golden Temple Mail train will depart from Ghaziabad at 08.03 p.m. instead of AA. as printed earlier.
However, there is no change in the timing and schedule of the above train enroute.

The special train leaving Howrah at 00.50 hrs. will arrive at Kharagpur at 3.50 hrs. and will run during the period from Oct 10 to Oct 15.

08021 Howrah-Panskura EMU Special (6 trips):

The special train leaving Howrah at 1.30 hrs. will arrive Panskura at 3.20 hrs. and will run during the period from Oct 10 to Oct 15.

08023 Howrah-Amta EMU Special (6 trips):

This special train leaving Howrah at 1.00 hrs and will arrive Amta at 2.35 hrs. It will run during the period from Oct 10 to Oct 15.

08020 Mecheda-Howrah EMU Special (6 trips):

This special train leaving Mecheda at 22.45 hrs. will arrive Howrah at 00.20 hrs. and will run during the period from Oct 9 to Oct 14.

Hundreds of Railway employees took out a protest march against the alleged move by the Railways to shut down the diesel loco shed at the Ernakulam Junction station here on Monday. This diesel shed which was set up in 1982 is Kerala’s only diesel engine  maintenance facility. The shed handles at least six diesel engines, including the engines of trains travelling through unelectrified routes such as the Konkon Railways and Palakkad along with a few places in Thiruvanthapuram.

SRMU divisional president P Unnikrishnan, who inaugurated the protest at the diesel loco shed, said the Southern Railways General Manager has already submitted a proposal to the Railway Board to set up an AC loco shed for electric engines in lieu of the existing diesel shed. The 20-crore project, a proposal made by the Southern Railways General Manager to the Railway Board, if sanctioned will be a major threat to the 350 employees working at the diesel shed as the staff strength would be reduced to less than half of the current one. He said that the move was political in nature as there are talks to set up a diesel loco shed at Mangalore instead. “We have no issues against the setting up of an AC loco shed. However, the diesel loco shed should be maintained in its place,” he said.

He added that it was the responsibility of the management to take the employees into confidence.  We demand that the management either withdraw the move or hold talks with us in this regard to allay the fears of the employees, he added.

Meanwhile, fearing further agitations from the side of the employees, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer said that no move to close down the shed will be taken in the near future. Union members said that they would continue the agitations if they feel that they are not taken into confidence prior to the move.
