30  अक्टूबर की दिवाली को देखते हुए रेलवे ने 29  अक्टूबर को नई दिल्ली से लखनऊ के लिए डुप्लीकेट शताब्दी चलाने की घोषणा की है| सुबह नई दिल्ली से लखनऊ चलने वाली स्वर्ण शताब्दी में दिनांक 29  को वेटिंग सात सौ के ऊपर पहुँच गयी थी जिसकी वजह से यात्रियों की सुविधा के लिए रेलवे ने ये निर्णय लिया है|
04464  स्पेशल नई दिल्ली दोपहर 01 :50  पर नई दिल्ली से लखनऊ के लिए चलेगी और रात 10  बजे लखनऊ पहुँच जाएगी| लखनऊ से ये ट्रेन 04463  - 31  अक्टूबर को सुबह पांच बजे चलेगी और दोपहर में 01 :20  बजे दिल्ली पहुचंह जाएगी| 
रेलवे ने इस ट्रेन का ठहराव गाजियाबाद और कानपुर ही रखा है|

01217 Pune-Nagpur will depart from Pune tomorrow at 10:30AM and will reach Nagpur in the morning of 30th October at 01:30AM.

The train will cover a distance of 942 kms in approx. 15 hrs. The train will stop from both sides at the following stations –

01807  लोकमान्य तिलक से मंडुआडीह के लिए विशेष गाडी आज दोपहर 02 :20  बजे लोकमान्य तिलक से चलेगी| ये गाडी दूसरे दिन दोपहर में तीन बजे मंडुआडीह पहुंचेगी| लोकमान्य तिलक ट्रर्मिनल से मंडुआडीह की दूरी 1467  किमी है जिसे ये पूरा करने में लगभग पचीस घंटे का समय ले रही है|

01088  मंडुआडीह से लोकमान्य के लिए कल शाम को 04 :45  बजे मंडुआडीह से चलेगी और दूसरे दिन रात में 11 :45  पर लोकमान्य तिलक पहुचेगी| इस गाडी को लोकमान्य तिलक पहुँचने में 31  घंटों का समय लग रहा है|

00715  नांदेड़-पट्टी विशेष गाड़ी आज चलेगी| ये गाड़ी नांदेड़ से रात 10 :35  पर चलेगी और तीसरे दिन पट्टी दोपहर तीन बजे पहुंचेगी| नांदेड़ से पट्टी की दूरी 1967  किमी है जिसे पूरा करने में इस ट्रेन को चालीस घण्टे से ज्यादा का समय लगेगा| रेलवे ने इसका किराया विशेष दर पर रखा है|
ये गाड़ी अकोला होते हुए पट्टी पहुंचेगी; अकोला पहुँचने का समय है सुबह 04 :10  दूसरे दिन जहाँ ये दस मिनट रुकेगी|

14625 दिल्ली सराय रोहिल्ला - फिरजपुर कैंट इंटरसिटी एक्सप्रेस को आज भी भटिंडा की तरफ मोड़ दिया गया| ये गाड़ी दिल्ली सराय रोहिल्ला से सीधे भटिंडा जंक्शन ही गयी|

12866 पुरुलिया-हावड़ा लालमति एक्सप्रेस आज आंशिक रूप से निरस्त कर दी गयी| ये गाडी पुरुलिया जंक्शन से हावड़ा जंक्शन तक जाती है पर आज ये खड़गपुर जंक्शन से आगे नहीं जाएगी| 
इस गाडी के अलावा तीन और गाड़ियों आंशिक रूप से निरस्त किया गया है पर ये पिछले बीते बहुत दिनों से आंशिक निरस्सत ही चल रही हैं|

12866 Purulia-Howrah Lalmati Express is partially cancelled from Kharagpur Jn to Howrah Junction. This train will not go to Howrah and will terminate at Kharagpur Junction.

24041 / 24042 najibabd-kotdwar-najibabad and 79481 / 82 /83 / 84 railbus are cancelled today. These trains are in continuation in their cancelled state as these remain cancelled from last 20 days or so.

Talgo might not make its way soon into Indian railways but it has paved the way to increase speeds of Rajdhani over Delhi – Mumbai rail track.

Western Railway has been asked by authorities to work on the methods so that speed of Rajdhani can be increased on the track throughout. Currently the maximum permissible limit is 130kmph which railway wants to increase upto 160kmph. This will enable Railway to cut the travel time from 16 hours to 12 hours.

With the successful trial run of Talgo at 130,140 and 150kmph railway has sensed that with whatever options and infrastructure they currently have, better average speeds can be achieved. Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO) is yet to give green signal regarding the same.

With Delhi-Mumbai route railway also wants that the same can be done on Delhi Kolkata and Delhi – Howrah routes by hauling the track and installing better signalling system. This will help to extract the maximum potential out of the system which currently is unfit to handle such speeds throughout.
