In an announcement made by Southern Railway an extra AC Three tier coach will be permanently attached to 22404 / 22403 New Delhi – Puducherry – New Delhi. This change will made from November 20 in 22404 New Delhi – Puducherry and from November 23 in 22403 Puducherry – New Delhi. 22404 New Delhi – Puducherry runs from New Delhi at 11:43PM in the night every Sunday and arrives Puducherry at 06:05PM in the evening on the third day. 22403 Puducherry – New Delhi runs from Puducherry every Wednesday at 09:10AM in the morning and arrives New Delhi at 02:20AM on third day.

With every passing hour death toll in Indore – Patna Express train accident is rising. Till now it has risen to 96. Earlier it was reported in the morning that at least 63 passengers died but as rescue teams are cutting bogies more number of passengers are coming out as dead. As of now Railway minister has rushed to spot. Witnesses told that with a huge bang they were thrown around and once the train came to a halt there was a huge thud and it was dark and noises were deafening. A senior police officer said, two bogies fell on the sides and more bodies may come out from those two bogies.

06049 Chennai Central – Kollam will run on December 6 and 13 while 06050 Kollam – Chennai Central will run on December 7 and 14. 06049 Chennai Central – Kollam superfast special will depart from Chennai Central at 10:30PM in the night and will arrive Kollam at 02:10PM in the afternoon of second day. 06050 Kollam – Chennai Central superfast special will depart from Kollam at 09:20PM in the night and will arrive at Chennai Central at 12:30PM in the noon of next day. With increase in passenger rush Southern Railways is announcing several special trains. One Superfast Special train is announced between Chennai Central and Kollam. 06047 Chennai Central – Kollam will run on December 7 and December 14 while 06048 Kollam – Chennai Central will run on December 8 and December 15. 06047 Chennai Central – Kollam superfast special will depart from Chennai Central at 10:50PM in the night and will arrive Kollam at 02:10PM in the afternoon. 06048 Kollam – Chennai Central superfast special will depart from Kollam at 09:10Pm in the night and will arrive at Chennai Central at 01:00PM in the afternoon the next day. Enroute these train will stop on these station from both sides – Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Kayankulam. To clear the extra rush of passengers Southern Railway will run Superfast special train between Chennai Egmore to Kollam. These trains will also carry special fare on them. 06045 Chennai Egmore – Kollam superfast special will run on December 3 and December 10. It will depart from Chennai Egmore at 10:40PM and will arrive Kollam next day at 02:15PM. 06045 Chennai Egmore – Kollam superfast special will stop on the following stations enroute – Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Kayankulam. AC two tier – 1 coach, AC three tier – 3 coaches, Sleeper class 13 coaches and General class 2 coaches will form this train. |

06026 / 06025 Tiruchchirappalli – Chennai Egmore – Tiruchchirappalli special train announced with special fare that will in early December. 06026 Tiruchchirappalli – Chennai Egmore special train will run from Tiruchchirappalli on December 3 and 10. This train will depart at 03:15PM in the evening and will arrive Chennai Egmore at 09:10PM the same day. 06025 Chennai Egmore – Tiruchchirappalli special train will run From Chennai Egmore on December 5 and 12. This train will depart at 03:30PM in the afternoon and will arrive Tiruchchirappalli at 08:10PM in the night of same day. Train will stop enroute at – Ariyalur, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram, Chengalpattu and Tambaram, however 06026 Tiruchchirappalli – Chennai Egmore special will also halt at Mamblam. This train comprises of One AC second class coach, Three AC third class coaches, Thirteen Sleeper class coaches and just two general class coaches. |
