To create awareness about climate change and other similar issues East Coast Railway will hold exhibitions at four stations through a science express climate change.

Between 9 and 23 May the exhibition on wheels is slated to be at Puri, Bhadrak, Chhatrapur and Kottavalasa.

This train will consist of 16 coaches and is an initiative of Centre’s department of science & technology in collaboration with the ministry of environment, forest & climate change, department of bio-technology and ministry of railways.

Through this train the aim is to convey a message about climate change through dialogue and discussion among various section of society.

The exhibition schedule is as follows –

• Bhadrak Railway Station – May 9 to 12 excpet May 10
• Puri – May 13 to 16
• Chhatrapur – May 17 to 19
• Kottavalasa – May 20 to 23

Timing – 10AM to 6PM

ट्रेन छूट जाने के दर से कई बार यात्री बिना टिकट लिए ही ट्रेन में चढ़ जाते हैं और फिर बाद में परेशान होते हैं | यात्रियों की इस असुविधा को देखते हुए रेलवे ने सुपरफास्ट ट्रेनों ट्रेन में ही टिकट देने की सुविधा शुरू की है |
यात्रियों को बस इतना करना होगा कि ट्रेन में टीटी को खोजकर उससे दस रूपए अतिरिक्त शुल्क देकर जहाँ तक जाना है वहां तक का टिकट बनवा लेना है | टीटी तय किराये के ऊपर दस रूपए अतिरिक्त शुल्क लगाकर अपने हैंड हेल्ड मशीन से आपको टिकट दे देगा| 
रेलवे अभी ये सुविधा सिर्फ सुपरफास्ट ट्रेनों में ही उपलब्ध कराएगा और परिणाम अच्छे आने पर इसे सभी ट्रेनों में शुरू किया जाएगा | इतना ही नहीं ये मशीन  पैसेंजर रिजर्वेशन सिस्टम के सर्वर से कनेक्ट होगी और सीट खाली होने पर उसकी जानकारी भी आसानी से मिलेगी |

Southern Railway has asked South Western Railway through a proposal to extend 16575 / 16576 Yeshwantpur-Mangaluru Junction-Yeshwantpur tri-weekly Express till Mangaluru Central.

The proposal also states the inconvenient arrival time of this train at Yeshwantpur station which is at 08:30PM. The departure time of this train from Mangaluru junction might also change which currently is 11:30AM.

The division is doing the exercise of identifying a train, which is not patronised much to be shifted to Mangaluru Junction. Chennai Egmore Express and Kacheguda bi-weekly Express are some of the trains on the radar.

Train number 22415/22416 Visakhapatnam – New Delhi AP Express was kicked off by railway 20 months earlier with much fanfare as this was equipped with LHB coaches with much lesser halts compared to other trains. But now 20 months later this train has failed completely to attract passengers.

One of the primary reasons for its poor patronage is said to be it lower average speed coupled with inconvenient timing. While East Coast Railway and South Central Railway, proposed for a change in timings and increase the speed of the train to reduce travel cost but other railway zones turned down the proposal. The rest zones were not even interested to increase the speed.

People’s representatives want the arrival timings of this train in Delhi in the early hours.

Interestingly, while the average speed of AP Express, which has LHB coaches, is only 59 km/hr, Swarna Jayanthi Express, with Integral Coach Factory (ICF) coaches, runs at a much higher average speed of 64 km/hr.

धनबाद - चंद्रपुरा रेल लाइन का भविष्य पीएमओ से विचार विमर्श करने के बाद रेलवे तय करेगा | ये रेलवे लाइन भूमि के धसने की वजह से खतरनाक हो चुकी है | एक उच्च स्तरीय बैठक में रेल लाइन को त्वरित रूप से बंद करने की बात कही गयी है क्यूंकि इस लाइन पर कभी भी बड़ी रेल दुर्घटना हो सकती है | 
अगर किसी भी एसी दुर्घटना में जान माल का नुक्सान हुआ तो देश और दुनिया में गलत संदेश जाएगा | हालाँकि धनबाद रेल मंडल प्रबंधक इसे बंद करने के पक्ष में नहीं हैं | उनके अनुसार नियमो की अनदेखी कर रेल लाइन के नीचे और निकट में कोयला खनन किया गया है और इसके लिए बीसीसीएल जिम्मेदार है जिसने रेल लाइन को असुरक्षित बना दिया है और चेतावनियों के बावजूद खनन जारी है |

To clear the rush of passengers, South Central Railway will run a special train from Hyderabad to Guntur as per details –

Hyderabad – Kakinada Port special train

Singarayakonda railway station will become another stoppage for KSR Bengaluru – Kakinada Town – KSR Bengaluru Seshadri express for a period of six months starting from May 5.

Accordingly train number 17209 KSR Bengaluru – Kakinada Town Seshadri Express will arrive Singarayakonda at 09:27PM in the night.

In the return direction train number 17210 Kakinada Town – KSR Bengaluru Seshadri Express will arrive Singarayakonda at 01:22AM.

Ongole staton will serve as temporary stoppage for train number 22663 / 22664 Chennai Egmore – Jodhpur – Chennai Egmore weekly express for six months from May 5 onwards.

Accordingly train number 22663 Chennai Egmore – Jodhpur weekly Express will arrive Ongole at 07:33PM and in the return direction train number 22664 Jodhpur – Chennai Egmore weekly Express will arrive at 11:30AM.

Halt time at Ongole station will be one minute in both the directions.

Train number 16561 / 16562 Yesvantpur – Kochuveli – Yesvantpur AC weekly express will be renumbered and converted into superfast express from August 31 as per details –

Western Railway will impose a traffic block between Santacruz and Mahim stations for maintenance of signalling system, overhead equipment and track repair work on Sunday i.e. May 7. This block will remain effective from 10:35AM to 03:35PM.

During the block all Up and Down fast line trains will run on Up & Down slow lines between Santacruz and Mahim stations. Due to this block some suburban services will remain cancelled.
