Minister of Railways, Suresh Prabhu released thirteen Advanced Life Support Ambulances under Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) Funds at Vijayawada.

The Advanced Life Support Ambulances are equipped with all the required Medical Equipments and facilities to attend the Medical emergencies and rush the needy to hospitals.

Trained Para Medical staff will be available with the ambulances round the clock. These ambulances will be run under “108” services of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

To clear the extra rush of passengers railway has added extra coach in two trains temporarily as per details –

Augmentation of one Second Class Sleeper coach –

• Train number 82653 Yesvantpur - Jaipur Suvidha Weekly Express from June 22 to September 21
• Train number 82654 Jaipur - Yesvantpur Suvidha Weekly Express from June 24 to September 23

Revision of train composition –

Train number 82653 / 82654 Yesvantpur - Jaipur - Yesvantpur Suvidha Weekly Express will run with revised train composition as –

• AC two tier – 2 coaches
• AC three tier – 4 coaches

यात्रियों की मांग को देखते हुए उत्तर रेलवे ने गाजीपुर सिटी से आनंदविहार टर्मिनल जाने वाली सुहेलदेव एक्सप्रेस को डोभी स्टेशन पर ठहराव का निर्णय लिया है | इस निर्णय के बाद 7 जून से गाडी संख्या 22419 ग़ाज़ीपुर सिटी - आनंदविहार टर्मिनल सुहेलदेव एक्सप्रेस डोभी स्टेशन पर शाम पौने सात बजे दो मिनट के लिए रुकेगी और दूसरी तरफ से गाडी संख्या 22420 आनंदविहार - गाजीपुर सिटी सुहेलदेव एक्सप्रेस 08:20AM पर डोभी स्टेशन पर दो मिनट के लिए रुकेगी | 
डोभी स्टेशन अभी छह माह के लिए प्रायौगिक तौर पर ठहराव बनाया गया है और छह माह के बाद इसे स्थाई बनाया जाएगी |

Falling in line to the strong demand and for the convenience of passengers Northern Railway has decided to make Dobhi station as an additional halt for Ghazipur City - Anand Vihar Terminal - Ghazipur City Suhaildev Express.

Accordingly from June 7, 2017 train number 22419 Ghazipur City - Anand Vihar Terminal Suhaildev Express will arrive Dobhi station at 06:45PM and train number 22420 Anand Vihar Terminal - Ghazipur City Suhaildev Express will arrive Dobhi station at 08:20AM in the morning.

It must be noted that for the initial six months Dobhi station will remain as experimental stoppage where Suhaildev Express will make a halt for two minutes.

Southern railway has temporarily cancelled the passenger train service between Angamali and Ernakulam due to poor patronage and other developmental works. The decision will be effective from May 26.

Accordingly train number 06733 Angamali – Ernakulam passenger special train and train number 06736 Ernakulam – Angamali passenger special train will remain cancelled until further notice.

There has been increase in stone throwing cases in Western Railway. As many as 34 cases of stone throwing were reported from January 2017 to May 2017.

Stone throwing is a bad menace & such offences are serious social crimes – quotes Western Railway. Railway also urges its passengers to not to involve in such kind social evil. It must be noted that throwing stones affects movement of trains and it directly affects punctuality of trains besides causing injury to passengers or on duty guards and drivers of train.

According to Railway Act, if a person maliciously hurting or attempting to hurt person travelling by Railway, he shall be punishable with imprisonment for life or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to ten years.

Western Railway has geared up for upcoming monsoon to keep local train services running uninterrupted. In order to keep services running Western Railway has started cleaning of culverts, installations of pumps, special maintenance of infrastructure, desilting of side drains etc.

Besides this Western Railways has also conducted analysis of Rainfall and Flood prone areas to identify flood prone areas like Grant Road, Elphinstone Road, Dadar, Matunga Rd-Mahim yard, Bandra-Khar, Andheri-Jogeshwari and Nalasopara-Virar sections.

A new time table has also been framed by railways which will help in taking necessary precautions.

Following pre-monsoon action has been taken by Railways –

• De silting and cleaning of all 41 culverts
• Lifting of tracks in low line areas
• Installation of 88 diesel pump set in vulnerable low lying locations like Marine Lines, Mumbai Central, Dadar, Matunga Road, Mahim, Bandra, Andheri, Borivali, Nalasopara, Virar etc.
• Monsoon related maintenance work of EMU suburban rakes
• Cutting of vulnerable trees in the vicinity of track
• De silting of side drains.
• Running of muck specials during nights to clear the muck and garbage when required.
