As a result of the massive ticket checking drive conducted by Eastern Railway all over its jurisdiction from  12 May to 25 May, 2017, altogether 89,501 persons were detected travelling without or with improper ticket and carrying unbooked luggage and an amount of Rs.1,88,41,570 /- was realised from those offenders.

Eastern railway further notifies that its officials will continue such vigorous drives against ticketless travelling and carrying of unbooked luggage.

Due to up gradation work of Delhi P.R.S. (Computerized Passenger Reservation System), the PRS Enquiry will remain closed for 3 hours 25 minutes from 11.45PM on May 26 to 03.10AM on May 27.

Therefore, Delhi PRS and enquiries related to Delhi PRS on Telephone no. 139 will not be available during the above period.

One Sleeper Class coach will be augmented into Yesvantpur – Jaipur – Yesvantpur Suvidha Special to accommodate more passengers. Accordingly train number 82653 Yesvantpur - Jaipur Suvidha Weekly Express will be augmented with extra coach from June 22 to September 21 and train number 82654 Jaipur - Yesvantpur Suvidha Weekly Express will be augmented with extra coach from June 24 to September 23.

To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling & overhead equipments, a jumbo block will be taken from 10.35AM to 03:35PM between Santacruz and Goregaon stations on Up and Down fast lines this Sunday.

During this block period, all fast line trains will run on slow lines between Santacruz and Goregaon stations. Due to the block, some up and down local trains will remain cancelled, the list of which will be available at all stations with Station Masters.

To facilitate engineering work for double line project between Manaparai – Kalpattichatram in Tiruchchirappalli – Dindigul section Southern Railways will take power and line block on this section which will affect train services as per details –

• 16128 Guruvayur – Chennai Egmore express will be diverted via Dindigul, Karur and Tiruchchirappalli and on May 31 and From June 1 to 7.
• 16352 Nagercoil – Mumbai CST express will be diverted to run via Dindigul, Karur and Tiruchchirappalli and will reach Tiruchchirappalli late by 1 hour and 55 minutes on June 1.
• 16788 Shrimata Vaishno Devi Katra – Tirunelveli express (leaving Shrimata Vaishno Devi Katra on May 29) and Train No.16353 Kacheguda – Nagercoil express (leaving Kacheguda on May 31) will be diverted to run via Karur, Dindigul on June 1.
• 16352 Nagercoil – Mumbai CST express will be diverted to run via Dindigul, Karur and Tiruchchirappalli on June 4.
• 16127 Chennai Egmore – Guruvayur express will be diverted to run via Tiruchchirappalli, Karur and Dindigul on June 7.
• 56821 / 56822Mayiladuthurai – Tirunelveli – Mayiladuthurai passenger trains will be partially cancelled between Tiruchchirappalli – Dindigul from May 31 to June 7.

It has been decided by Central Railway to change in composition of Train No. 02005 / 02006 Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Karmali - Lokmanya Tilak (T) AC Superfast Special on May 26 and June 2 as per details –
