Special fare train will be run by southern railway from Kochuveli to Guwahati on November 12.

Train number 05615 Kochuveli Guwahati special fare will depart from Kochuveli at 2:15 p.m. in the afternoon to arrive Guwahati at 8:15 a.m. on November 15.

This train will consist of 3 AC 3rd class coaches, 5 sleeper class coaches, 8 general 2nd class coaches and 2 SLR coaches.

From Kochuveli to Guwahati this train will halt at following stations -

Kollam, Kayankulam, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrisur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Renigunta, Gudur, Nellore, o­ngole, Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Visakhapatnam, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Balasore, Kharagpur, Barddhaman, Rampurhat, Malda Town, New Jalpaiguri, New Bongaigaon and Kamakhya

A Suvidha special train will be run by southern railway from Kollam to Chennai Egmore on January 16, 2018 as per details mentioned below - 
Train number 82638 Kollam Chennai Egmore Suvidha special will depart from Kollam at 1 P.M in the afternoon of January 16. This train will arrive at Chennai Egmore at 5:30 a.m. next day. 
This train will comprise of 1 AC 2 tier coach, 2 AC 3 tier coaches, 8 sleeper class coaches, 3 general 2nd class coaches and 2 SLR coaches.

 This train will stop at following stations between Kollam and Chennai Egmore -

Kayankulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Chenganasseri, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrisur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam and Perambur.

Southern Railway well run a Suvidha special train from Chennai Egmore to Tirunelveli as per details given below  
Train number 82601 Chennai Egmore Tirunelveli Suvidha special will depart from Chennai Egmore at 9:50 P.M in night on December 22. It will arrive at Tirunelveli at 10:30 a.m the next day .

This train will consist of 1 AC second class coach 2 AC 3rd class coaches 12 sleeper class coaches apart from to SLR coaches
 
From Chennai Egmore to Tirunelveli this train will take the following halts -

Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchchirappalli, Dindigul, Kodaikkanal Road, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Satur, Kovilpatti and Vanchi Maniyachchi.

Railway ministry has now become a strict on latecomers from January 31, 2018 onwards. Railway will install Aadhaar-based biometric attendance system across its divisions in every zone.

In a letter issued by Railway board it is clearly stated that all the offices in all divisions, zones, Metro rail Kolkata, railway workshops and factories will be provided by Aadhaar-based biometric attendance system after which every railway employee has to register their attendance through the system only thereby also providing the arrival and departure time of employees.

The letter also mentioned that the biometric system should be integrated and implemented in a way so that it can be monitored by the divisional railway manager's office.

According to the ministry This will put a check on the officials arriving late or not coming at all. Currently this system is already in place in Railway board and few zonal headquarters.

At the end of the day at Churchgate station when crowd gets thin And the last set of commuters rush to words the last train back home there are people who roll out the blankets on the premises of the station to call their day off. Do not mistake them as homeless; in fact they are uniformed men who prepare themselves to take rest before they get into another day of hardship.

Government Railway police personal said , "We guard the ladies compartment in the early morning trains therefore we have two stay in the night and sleep here itself. As this can be called as a short break in our duty; therefore we utilise this time to get some sleep."

As per the GRP schedule these police officers guards three ladies compartments of the suurban local trains that run from 9 PM to 6 AM. However these men feel that spending the night at a station is the most appropriate time of their hours of duty. After the departure of the last train the gates surrounding the stations are closed and homeless are cleared from the station premises leaving behind only policemen on the station. The only complain by these policemen are that despite being government servant they are not provided rooms to take rest.

In case of emergency at outside the station they have to be on their guard to look after any public safety issue.

A senior GRP official said, “Currently, they have no other place to sleep. Since they have to take the early morning train, they sleep at the station. If they are away from the station, they might miss the train and it will cause them a lot of trouble.”

जयनगर से नई दिल्ली जाने वाली स्वतंत्रता सेनानी एक्सप्रेस के ज्ञानपुर रोड से इलाहाबाद जंक्शन तक पहुंचने में 5 घंटे लगने पर रविवार को यात्रियों का धैर्य जवाब दे गया l यात्रियों ने रविवार को जंक्शन पर जमकर हंगामा किया l रेलवे अधिकारियों ने किसी तरह यात्रियों को शांत कराया l

स्वतंत्रता सेनानी एक्सप्रेस का ज्ञानपुर रोड स्टेशन पर पहुंचने का समय भोर में 1 बज कर 38 मिनट का है l रविवार को यह गाड़ी दो घंटा 40 मिनट की देरी से यानी सुबह करीब 4:15 बजे स्टेशन पर पहुंची l गाड़ी का ठहराव 1 मिनट का है लेकिन गाड़ी 5:00 बजे वहां से रवाना हुई l सुबह 7:22 झूंसी स्टेशन पहुंची यहां से गाड़ी को इलाहाबाद जंक्शन आने में 2 घंटे लग गए l इलाहाबाद सिटी स्टेशन पर स्वतंत्रता सेनानी को रोककर चौरी चौरा एक्सप्रेस को निकाल दिया गया जिससे यात्रियों का पारा चढ़ गया l गाड़ी जैसे ही करीब 9:30 बजे जंक्शन के प्लेटफार्म नंबर 8 पर पहुंची यात्रियों ने हंगामा शुरू कर दिया l इसके बाद प्लेटफार्म नंबर एक पर से यात्रियों की भीड़ लग गई l गाड़ी 45 मिनट बाद 10:10 पर रवाना हुई जबकि स्टॉपेज 25 मिनट का है l

भागलपुर रेलखंड की एक और ट्रेन का रेलवे ने दिल्ली में ठिकाना बदल दिया l अपर इंडिया एक्सप्रेस को रेलवे बोर्ड ने दिल्ली की बजाए आनंद विहार स्टेशन में शिफ्ट कर दिया है l अक्टूबर से ही यह व्यवस्था लागू हो गई है l इसके पहले विक्रमशिला एक्सप्रेस का भी ठिकाना बदल दिया गया था l यह तीसरा मौका है जब अपर इंडिया एक्सप्रेस को दिल्ली के बाहरी स्टेशनों तक ही सीमित किया गया हो l

 भागलपुर रेल खंड के निर्माण के बाद अपर इंडिया पहले दो ट्रेनों में से एक थी जो सबसे पहले चलाई गई थी l ब्रिटिश कंपनी शासन में बनी इस रेल लाइन में चलने वाली यह ट्रेन बेहद सम्मानित और समय से चलने वाली थी, लेकिन भारतीय रेल ने आजादी के पहले चली इस ट्रेन को धरोहर बनाने की बजाए उपेक्षित कर दिया है l पहले यह ट्रेन सियालदह से दिल्ली तक चलती थी और कहा जाता है कि कोलकाता और दिल्ली को जोड़ने वाली यह पहली ट्रेन थी लेकिन दिनोंदिन इस ट्रेन को दिल्ली से दूर करने का प्रयास हुआ l 1999 में इसे दिल्ली से हटाने की पहली कोशिश हुई जब  अपर इंडिया को दिल्ली के बजाय मुगलसराय तक ही रोक दिया गया l यात्रियों का विरोध हुआ था तो बनारस तक जाने लगी फिर भी विरोध नहीं थमा l यात्रियों की ओर से अधिकारियों को कई पत्र दिए गए तब यह निर्णय हुआ कि सप्ताह में 2 दिन के लिए दिल्ली तक चलाई जाए l अब दिल्ली के बदले इस ट्रेन को आनंद विहार तक कर दिया गया है l

ट्रेनें कोहरे का समय आने से पहले ही विलंब से चल रही है l इंटरसिटी हो एक्सप्रेस हो या हो सुपरफास्ट सभी घंटों विलंब से चल रही हैं l जिन ट्रेनों की रैक सिंगल है वह सभी ट्रेनें एक-एक दिन विलंब से खुल रही हैं l लोगों को इस बात की चिंता सता रही है कि घने कोहरे आने के पहले ही जब यह हाल है तो जब सर्दी बढ़ने के साथ कोहरा घना हो जाएगा तब क्या होगा l

भागलपुर रेलखंड पर सिंगल रैक के साथ चलने वाली लंबी दूरी ट्रेन है जैसे अमरनाथ एक्सप्रेस, गरीब रथ एक्सप्रेस, हावड़ा मुजफ्फरपुर स्पेशल और भागलपुर आनंद विहार स्पेशल ट्रेन अपने समय से काफी विलंब से प्रतिदिन प्रस्थान कर रही हैं l इनमें से कुछ ट्रेन तो 24 घंटे से भी अधिक विलंब से छूट रही है l इन ट्रेनों में सफर करने वाले यात्रियों का ज्यादा समय इंतजार नहीं व्यतीत हो जा रहा है l इसके अलावा जिस ट्रेन में एक से अधिक रैक रहता है वह भी विलंब से चल रही है लेकिन अपेक्षाकृत कम विलंब से l रेलवे के स्थानीय अधिकारियों को ट्रेन के विलंब से चलने के बारे में कोई भी जानकारी नहीं है l
