VADODARA: A passenger train is being introduced by the railways on between Nadiad and Modasa on a regular basis. The section was upgraded to broad gauge from narrow gauge in 2002 and was opened for traffic on October 27.A release here stated that initially only one pair of trains was operational between Nadiad and Modasa. This saw an average traffic of 799 passengers fetching earnings of Rs. 6,376 over this section.With demand of local representatives, an additional train was introduced between the two stations in February this year on an experimental basis with four general coaches and one luggage coach. It had a passenger capacity of 400 persons.The service is now being regularized as the passenger traffic increased to 1,040 persons and it fetched an earning of Rs 9,026. The train shall leave Nadiad at 10am and reach Modasa at 1.30pm. It will leave Modasa at 2.15pm and reach Nadiad at 5.45pm.The regularised pair of trains will be formally flagged off by union minister of state for mines Dinsha Patel on Friday. Vadodara divisional railway manager N K Shukla shall also remain present on the occasion.

ट्रेनों की अपडेट जानकारी के लिए राजधानी के लोगों को स्टेशन के इंक्वायरी काउंटर पर जूझने की जरूरत नहीं होगी। घर में टीवी पर ही उनको सभी ट्रेनों की पूरी स्थिति का पता चल जाएगा। इसके लिए रायपुर रेल मंडल के वाणिज्य विभाग की ओर से पहल की जा रही है।
रायपुर स्टेशन के विभिन्न प्लेटफार्मों पर ट्रेनों की ताजा जानकारी के लिए 21 एलसीडी लगाए गए हैं। इस एलसीडी पर ट्रेनों की समय-सारणी को सीधे शहर के केबल से जोड़ने की कोशिश की जा रही है। बिलासपुर और नागपुर में यह प्रयोग काफी सफल रहा है। कोशिश की जा रही है कि दो महीने के अंदर यह सुविधा रायपुर में भी शुरू कर दी जाए।
केबल से हजारों घरों के टीवी सेट जुड़े हुए हैं। ऐसे में शहर के लोगों के लिए रेलवे की इस नई सुविधा से विशेष फायदा होगा। रेलवे के इंक्वायरी सिस्टम पर दबाव भी कम होगा। ट्रेनों की रनिंग स्थिति बताने इंटरनेट व एसएमएस सिस्टम रेलवे पहले से ही चला रहा है। एसएमएस के लिए प्रति मैसेज 3 रुपए खर्च करने होते हैं। केबल के माध्यम से टीवी पर सीधे और सरल तरीके से ट्रेनों की जानकारी लोगों को मिलने लगेगी।

South-Western Railway (SWR) has decided to continue to run weekly Garib Rath express train numbers 06511 and 06512 Yeshwanthpur-Jaipur-Yeshwanthpur, for 22 special journeys in each direction. Train number 06511 will depart from Yeshwanthpur at 5.10 am on Sunday and arrive at Jaipur at 3.50 am on Tuesday, between August 4 and December 29. In the return journey, train number 06512 Jaipur-Yeshwanthpur Weekly Garib Rath Express will depart from Jaipur at 3.30 pm on Tuesday and arrive at Yeshwanthpur at 3.10 pm on Thursday, between August 6 and December 31.
The SWR has also decided to permanently attach two additional general second class chair cars to train numbers 16215 and 16216 of Chamundi Express, on the Mysore-Bangalore-Mysore route, with immediate effect. Meanwhile South Central Railway (SCR) has decided to augment train numbers 17209 and 17210 Kakinada Town-Bangalore city-Kakinada Town express, including one additional AC 3-tier coach on temporary measure, for clearance of rush between July 25 and July 31.
One general second-class coach will be withdrawn temporarily from the train numbers 12607 and 12608 Chennai-Bangalore city-Chennai lalbagh express as well as from train numbers 12609 and 12610 Chennai-Bangalore city-Chennai express, to facilitate maintenance at pit line No.2 at Bangalore City station. The number of coaches will decrease from 21 to 20, effective on August 1.

प्रतापगढ़। वन पीआरएल ट्रेन के पार्सल यान से लाखों रुपये का कपड़ा चोरी हो गया। चोरों ने पार्सल यान को काटकर कपड़े चोरी किए और गेट अंदर से बंद कर दिया।
लखनऊ से प्रयागघाट चलने वाली ट्रेन टू पीआरएल कहलाती है। यही ट्रेन जब प्रयागघाट से लखनऊ के लिए चलती है तो वन पीआरएल हो जाती है। गुरुवार को इस ट्रेन पर जिले के दो व्यापारियों ने लखनऊ से लाखों रुपये का कपड़ा भेजा। ट्रेन जब स्टेशन पर पहुंची तो गेट खोलने का प्रयास किया गया लेकिन यह नहीं खुल सका। यह ट्रेन जब प्रयागघाट से शाम को फिर लखनऊ के लिए लौटी तो पार्सल के लोगों ने इसे चेक करना शुरू किया। देखा तो इसके ऊपर से पतरा काटकर चोरों ने कपड़े की सभी गांठें पार कर दीं और अंदर से गेट लाक कर दिया। ट्रेन से माल गायब होने की जानकारी होते ही व्यापारियों के होश उड़ गए। इसमें शहर के संतोष केसरवानी के बोरे से पूरा माल गायब था जबकि नागेश चंद्र मिश्र के बोरे से 75 प्रतिशत माल गायब था। दोनों का मिलाकर लगभग एक लाख पांच हजार रुपये का कपड़ा गायब हुआ है। इसकी सूचना आरपीएफ को दी गई तो वह भी मौके पर पहुंची। जानकारी मिलने पर व्यापार मंडल पदाधिकारी भी मौके पर पहुंचे।
ट्रेन से माल गायब होने की सूचना पर पहुंचे व्यापार मंडल ने कहा कि कि ट्रेनों में इन दिनों चोरी की घटनाएं बढ़ गईं हैं। इसकी तरफ रेलवे का ध्यान नहीं जा रहा है। आए दिन व्यापारियों को हजारों रुपये का नुकसान उठाना पड़ रहा है। कुछ दिन पहले पद्मावत, फिर मुगलसराय पैसेंजर इसके बाद साकेत में भी चोरी हुई थी। इन मामलों में न तो कोई कार्रवाई हो पाती है और न ही इनका सुराग लग पाता है। व्यापारियों ने कहा कि इस मामले डीआरएम से लखनऊ में मिलकर मामले का खुलासा कराने की मांग की जाएगी।

अप लाईन सुरू : एक हजार गँगमनच्या परिश्रमातून झाला मार्ग खुला
नागपूर : सात दिवसांपासून विस्कळीत झालेली नागपूर-वर्धा दरम्यानची रेल्वे वाहतूक सुरळीत करण्यात रेल्वे प्रशासनाला गुरुवारी यश आले. सात दिवस एक हजार गँगमन आणि अधिकार्‍यांनी दिवसरात्र काम करून अप आणि डाऊन लाईन सुरू केली. अपलाईनवरून आज सकाळी १0.३0 वाजता गोंदिया-कोल्हापूर महाराष्ट्र एक्स्प्रेस रवाना झाली.
शुक्रवारी रात्री ८.३0 च्या सुमारास नागपूर वर्धा सेक्शन दरम्यान सिंधी ते तुळजापूर रेल्वेस्थानकामध्ये २४५ मिलिमीटर पाऊस पडल्याने या मार्गावरील दोन पुलाखालील माती, गिट्टी वाहून गेल्यामुळे मुंबई-हावडा मार्गावरील रेल्वे वाहतूक ठप्प झाली होती. घटनेची माहिती मिळताच ‘डीआरएम’ बृजेश दीक्षित यांच्यासह रेल्वेचे अधिकारी घटनास्थळी पोहोचले होते. रेल्वे रुळावर चार इंच पाणी आले होते. याशिवाय रेल्वेगाड्यांना विजेचा पुरवठा करणार्‍या ओव्हर हेड इक्विपमेंटचे खांबही हलत होते. रेल्वेची दूरसंचार यंत्रणाही ठप्प पडली होती. युद्धस्तरावर कामाला सुरुवात केल्यानंतर सोमवारी डाऊन लाईनचे काम पूर्ण करण्यात रेल्वे प्रशासनाला यश आले होते. त्यानंतर या मार्गावरील अप लाईनच्या कामाला सुरुवात करण्यात आली. एक हजार गँगमनने १२ जेसीबीच्या साह्याने दिवसरात्र काम करून ३६0 मीटरच्या मार्गावरील रेल्वे ट्रॅकखाली माती, गिट्टी टाकली.
गुरुवारी सकाळी अप लाईनचे काम पूर्ण करण्यात रेल्वे प्रशासनाला यश आले. रेल्वेच्या नागपूर विभागाच्या इतिहासात मागील १६0 वर्षांंत एवढय़ा मोठय़ा प्रमाणात वाहतूक विस्कळीत होण्याचा हा पहिला प्रसंग असल्याची माहिती ‘डीआरएम’ बृजेश दीक्षित यांनी पत्रकारांना दिली.
अशा प्रकारचे १0 ते १२ प्रसंग आपण आतापर्यंंत हाताळल्याने आधीच पाठीशी अनुभव असल्याचे ते म्हणाले. सुरळीत झालेल्या अप लाईनच्या रुळाचे काही काम करावयाचे असल्यामुळे गुरुवारी रात्री १0 ते शुक्रवारी दुपारी २ पर्यंंत १७ तासाचा मेगाब्लॉक घेण्यात येणार आहे.
त्यानंतर या मार्गावरील वाहतूक सुरळीत होणार असल्याचा विश्‍वास त्यांनी व्यक्त केला. सध्या या मार्गावरून पूल वाहून गेलेल्या ठिकाणी २0 किलोमीटर प्रति तास या वेगाने रेल्वेगाड्या चालविण्यात येत असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले. (प्रतिनिधी)

Railway station facilities Piyush Agarwal, divisional railway manager, Palakkad said Palakkad junction station will get two lifts and one escalator. Four touch screens will be installed at the railway station which will be useful to passengers to know reservation and train running  details.

The train numbers, days of service and timings of some trains have been changed.

The 12770 Secunderabad-Tirupati Seven Hills bi-weekly express will leave Secunderabad on Fridays instead of on Saturdays with effect from  September 6. There is no change in the departure on Tuesdays.

The 12769 Tirupati-Secunderabad bi-weekly Seven Hills express will  depart Tirupati on Mondays instead of on Sundays with effect from  September 9. There is no change in the departure on Fridays.

Train No.22871 Bhubaneswar-Tirupati weekly express will leave Bhubaneswar on Sundays instead of on Saturdays with effect from September 8 and the 22872 Tirupati-Bhubaneswar Express will depart from Tirupati on Mondays instead of on Sundays with effect from September 9.

The 22819 Visakhapatnam-Mumbai LTT bi-weekly express will be renumbered as 18519  with effect from September 10. It will leave Visakhapatnam on Wednesdays and Saturday at 23.30 hours instead of 08.45 hours and arrive at Mumbai LTT at 04.40 hours on the  next day instead of at 11.05 hours.

The 22820 Mumbai LTT-Visakhapatnam bi-weekly will be renumbered as 18520 from September 12. It will depart Mumbai LTT on Fridays and Mondays at 06.55 hours instead of at 12.25 hours and arrive at Visakhapatnam at 11.15 hours on the next day instead of at 14.45 hours.

DIVERSION: The South Central Railway will divert train 16351 CST Mumbai-Nagercoil-CST Mumbai Balaji Express to run via Renigunta without touching Tirupati from September 3 and the 16352 Nagercoil-CST Mumbai Balaji Express from September 5.

PHOTO EXHIBITION: The photo exhibition on 160 Years of Indian Railways at Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad will remain open on July 26, the last day.
