धमहरा स्टेशन पर घटी दर्दनाक घटना के लिए रेलवे व राज्य सरकार दोनों ही दोषी हैं। लेकिन दोनों एक-दूसरे पर दोष मढ़ कर अपनी जिम्मेदारी से बचना चाहते हैं। ये बातें पूर्व उप मुख्यमंत्री सह भाजपा नेता सुशील कुमार मोदी ने बुधवार को स्थानीय परिसदन में कही। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य में जदयू की सरकार कांग्रेस के बूते टिकी है और जदयू भी कांग्रेस को कहीं न कहीं सहयोग कर रही है। लेकिन घटना की जिम्मेदारी लेने से दोनों ही भाग रहे हैं। श्री मोदी ने रेल राज्य मंत्री द्वारा लोकसभा में दिए गए बयान को निंदनीय बताया। उन्होंने कहा कि बयान का भाजपा के सांसदों ने सदन में विरोध किया। उन्होंने कहा कि रेल मंत्री इसे दुर्घटना तक मानने को तैयार नहीं हैं। कहा कि स्टेशन पर जब फुटओवर ब्रिज नहीं है तो रेल मंत्री को बताना चाहिए कि कोई यात्री दूसरे नंबर प्लेटफार्म पर कैसे जाएगा। रेल मंत्री तो ऐसे बात कर रहे हैं, मानो यह स्टेशन के प्लेटफॉर्म से बाहर की घटना है। उन्होंने कहा कि जब दोनों प्लेटफॉर्मो पर ट्रेनें लगी थीं तो तीसरी ट्रेन को वहां से निकालने का कोई औचित्य नहीं था। भीड़ के बावजूद 80 किमी प्रति घंटा की स्पीड से ट्रेन गुजरना भी दुर्घटना का कारण बना है। उन्होंने रेल मंत्री पर रात के अंधेरे में आने को लेकर कटाक्ष करते हुए कहा कि शायद वे जनता का सामना करने की स्थिति में नहीं थे। श्री मोदी ने रेल मंत्री से आश्रितों के परिवार के एक-एक सदस्य को नौकरी देने की मांग किया। वहीं राज्य सरकार पर आक्षेप करते हुए कहा पटना में छठ के दौरान घटना घटने पर भीड़ को नियंत्रित करने को लेकर विशेष व्यवस्था करने का निर्णय लिया गया था। इसका पालन किया गया होता तो ऐसी नौबत नहीं आती। घटना के पांच घंटे बाद जिला प्रशासन व सात घंटे बाद रेल अधिकारी के पहुंचने की बात कहते हुए उन्होंने इसे संवेदनहीनता करार दिया। रेल दुर्घटना के मृतकों के सामूहिक दाह संस्कार में रेल व प्रशासन के अधिकारी तो दूर, राज्य सरकार के मंत्री तक शामिल नहीं हुए। पूर्व उप मुख्यमंत्री ने आपदा प्रबंधन मंत्री के रात के एक बजे व रेल मंत्री के 4.30 बजे अस्पताल में घायलों से मिलने पर भी सवाल उठाया। उन्होंने कहा कि धमहरा जाने तक सड़क नहीं थी। यदि हेलीकॉप्टर से डॉक्टरों की टीम वहां भेजी गई होती तो कम से कम छह लोगों की जान बच सकती थी। उन्होंने कहा कि हम तोड़-फोड़ की घटना में विश्वास नहीं रखते लेकिन जिस तरह की घटना घटी, उसमें आक्रोश स्वभाविक था। उन्होंने रेलवे द्वारा एक हजार लोगों पर दर्ज कराई गई प्राथमिकी के आधार पर कोई कार्रवाई नहीं करने की मांग की। उनके साथ पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय मंत्री रेणु कुशवाहा, विधायक सुरेन्द्र मेहता, बेगूसराय भाजपा जिला अध्यक्ष संजय सिंह व खगड़िया भाजपा जिला अध्यक्ष रामानुज चौधरी ने पूरे घटनाक्रम की जांच की। इसके बाद वे सदर अस्पताल में घायलों से मुलाकात करने गए और इलाज को लेकर परिजनों से पूछताछ की।

Indore: Minor girl of a Mumbai-based businessman, who was allegedly kidnapped five days ago, was found roaming at the city railway station on Monday night.   The railway police noticed the girl roaming at the station in suspicious condition and intercepted her. When quizzed, the girl disclosed her identity and requested the cops to call in her parents. However, it could not be known that how the minor girl came here.   It was learnt that the minor is a resident of Goregaon area of Mumbai (Maharashtra) and a complaint of her kidnap was registered at the local police station. Her father is a known businessman of the area.   Following the information, a team of Goregaon police along with the girl's father Subhash Seth and her sister arrived here at the railway police station on Tuesday morning. They completed the required paper work and soon left with the victim to their native place.   Sub-inspector M Gayari said that the girl had gone missing on August 16. A complaint of her kidnap was registered at the local police station in Mumbai. We handed over the girl to her father and the police team accompanied with him for further investigation.

Two persons, D. Sudharani (23), homemaker, and A. Mahesh (25), auto driver of Kaluvarai, were killed on the spot when the autorickshaw in which they were travelling was hit speeding Durg-Visakhapatnam passenger train around 10 a.m. on Tuesday at an unmanned level crossing at G.T. Valasa in Bobbili mandal. The train stopped for 40 minutes at the spot as the badly mangled auto was entangled in nose of the engine. Railway police removed the auto and allowed the train to pass.

कठुआ : जन सेवा संस्था के पदाधिकारी मंगलवार को कठुआ रेलवे स्टेशन पहुंचे और फिरोजपुर मंडल रेलवे के कमर्शियल मैनेजर उपजीत सिंह से भेंट की। संस्था के सदस्यों ने स्टेशन पर यात्रियों सहित स्थानीय लोगों को पेश आ रही समस्याओं से अवगत कराया। संस्था के शशी शर्मा ने मैनेजर को बताया कि स्टेशन पर आने वाले यात्रियों व आसपास के लोगों की कई सालों से लंबित समस्याएं हैं। इस बारे में समय-समय पर रेल महाप्रबंधक और उच्चाधिकारियों को लिखित में अवगत कराया गया है। लेकिन अभी तक उनका समाधान नहीं हो पा रहा है। उन्होंने बताया कि मुख्य समस्या जहां पर आने वाले यात्रियों के लिए कवर्ड वेटिंग रूम नहीँ है। इससे यात्रियों को परेशानी होती है। हालांकि बनाए गए वेटिंग रूम में सुविधाएं पर्याप्त नहीं हैं। इसके साथ ही स्थानीय गोविंदसर निवासियों की ट्रैक के दोनों और कृषि भूमि है, जिन्हें वहां पर जाने के लिए खतरे के साथ-साथ दिक्कतों का सामना करना पड़ता है। इसके लिए कई बार ओवरब्रिज की मांग की गई है। लेकिन अभी तक इस मांग पर गौर नहीं हुआ। इसी तरह रेलवे स्टेशन के आसपास का रोड दयनीय हालत में हैं। वहीं उन्होंने कठुआ से शाम के पांच बजे के बाद सुबह ढाई बजे तक जम्मू के लिए कोई रेल नहीं जाने से लोगों की इस मुख्य समस्या से भी अवगत कराया और कहा कि दोहरीकरण के बाद भी लोग रेल सुविधा का पूरा लाभ नहीं ले रहे हैं। आज भी एक ही दिशा से रेल चल रही है। ऐसे में शाम पांच बजे के बाद भी कठुआ से जम्मू के लिए रेल चलाई जाए तो इससे लोगों को रेल सुविधा का सही लाभ मिल सकेगा। कमर्शियल मैनेजर ने संस्था के पदाधिकारियों को उनकी जायज मांगों को रेलवे के उच्च अधिकारियों के सामने रखने का भरोसा दिलाया। इस मौके पर संस्था के रमेश कुमार, बंटी, चमन पाधा, साजन कुमार आदि साथ थे।

रेलवे बुधवार को जोधपुर से तीन नई ट्रेनों की शुरुआत करेगा। इनमें से दो की घोषणा रेल बजट में की गई थी जिन्हें फिलहाल हॉलिडे स्पेशल के रूप में चलाया जाएगा। बहुप्रतीक्षित जोधपुर-जयपुर इंटरसिटी शाम को पहले फेरे पर रवाना होगी। जोधपुर-जयपुर इंटरसिटी बुधवार सुबह छह बजे जयपुर से चलेगी।



सुबह साढ़े दस बजे यहां पहुंचने के बाद शाम सवा छह बजे वापस जयपुर के लिए रवाना होगी। पहले दिन इस ट्रेन में सफर करने के लिए जयपुर से 164 व जोधपुर से 179 यात्रियों ने मंगलवार रात तक टिकट बुक करा लिए थे। इसी प्रकार जोधपुर-भीलड़ी के बीच डेमू  ट्रेन का संचालन भी बुधवार को शुरू होगा। यह सुबह साढ़े छह बजे रवाना होगी। इसी दिन जोधपुर व भीलड़ी के बीच नई पैसेंजर ट्रेन भी शुरू होगी जो रात नौ बजे रवाना होगी।

Trains passing through the Irugur-Coimbatore-Podanur section will be able to overcome delays once the remodelling works at Podanur Junction was over and the steps taken to increase the speed of trains are implemented, said Sujatha Jeyaraj, Salem Divisional Railway Manager, in Coimbatore on Tuesday.

She was talking to reporters after visiting the Science Express — Bio-diversity Special, and inspecting the ongoing works. Ms. Jeyaraj said that the yard remodelling works at Rs. 15 crore would help remove bottlenecks. A proposal to increase the speed of trains on the Irugur — Coimbatore section from 70 kmph to 100 kmph had been submitted for approval, she said. .

One more platform would come up at the Podanur Junction. Yard remodelling would help re-route a few more trains via Coimbatore.

Ms. Jeyaraj was confident of completing the second subway at Coimbatore Junction in September. The completion of second subway would enable operation of battery cars between platforms. Construction of roof, drinking water facility, and toilets on platforms 5 and 6 would be completed at the earliest.

A lift for passengers would come up at the existing subway. Construction works for a building for reservation, with cafeteria and multi-level parking would begin on the Goods Shed Road soon.

A proposal had been submitted to stop trains terminating at Coimbatore Junction, at Coimbatore North Railway Station for two minutes, she said. Electrification of the Coimbatore — Mettupalayam section at a cost of Rs. 26.8 crore would begin in two months.

Ms. Jeyaraj said that efforts were on to expedite the introduction of the Coimbatore — Rameswaram weekly train service, and to increase the frequency of the Coimbatore — Tirupati Intercity Express. A proposal had submitted to the IRCTC to create an executive lounge at Coimbatore Junction.

The gauge conversion works along Palakkad — Pollachi section would be over by March 2014. The works along Pollachi — Podanur section was getting delayed because of problems in land acquisition.
