Nashik - Mumbai commuters wants old rake of Panchvati Express back as new rake has made their journey extremely painful. After demanding for long, Railway replaced rake of Panchavti Express on May 8. According to passengers, new coaches are ergonomic disaster for them.

In a letter to Central Railway, passenger states that - 

"Seats are small and uncomfortable, windows are not in sync with seats, passageway is narrow, and the train is stuffy. The passage between two rows is extremely narrow. There is absolute no legroom, and it is very painful to sit there. Windows are the worst part as they do not open fully."

The letter also states that fans hardly circulate or throw air, with most of the air direct towards luggage racks. The new design is only aesthetics without adding any comfort.

Late passenger activist Bipin Gandhi's persistent demand and consistent activism forced railway to provide new coaches but new coaches are not more than ergonomic disaster.

On the other hand CR official states that feedback is of great importance and the same will be forwarded to manufacturing unit, but windows are as per the standard design of non-AC LHB class coaches. Horizontally sliding window panes avert accidental injury due to incorrectly locked vertical shutters besides providing sufficient airflow. Seats were reduced to provide a special pantry cabin for hygienic food.

Suspension of two DEMU trains between Banaswadi and Hosur for 5 months has raised many eyebrows. On Wednesday, rail officials announced that train number - 06571/06572 Banaswadi-Hosur-Banaswadi and 06573/06574 Banaswadi- Hosur-Banaswadi - stand cancelled from May 26 to October 25. Reason for cancellation of these two DEMU trains has been given as renewal work between Baiyyappanahalli and Hosur over a strech of 48 kms.

Between Hebbal - Banaswadi - Hosur, everyday more than 5000 passengers opt suburban train services. Introduced in March this year both these DEMU trains became instantly popular among daily commuters as both these trains halt at  Byappanahalli in the tech corridor.  Note that it was before assemble election of the state. Now once the election is over, Railway officials announced suspension of these trains.

According to experts, 5 months suspension time is too long as rail authorities can complete track renewal work in eight weeks with help of modern technology. SWR should operate these two rakes on other stretches till the completion of maintenance work between Baiyyappanahalli and Hosur.

गर्मी बढ़ने के साथ साथ ट्रेनों के एसी भी लगातार फेल हो रहे हैं | गुरुवार को चारबाग स्टेशन पर नई दिल्ली से डिब्रूगढ़ जा रही राजधानी एक्सप्रेस कि थर्ड एसी की तीसरी बोगी का एसी फेल हो गया | यात्रियों के कई बार चेन खींचने के बाद दूसरी बोगी लगाकर ट्रेन को आगे रवाना करना पड़ा |
ट्रेन संख्या 12436 राजधानी एक्सप्रेस लखनऊ में शाम साढ़े पांच बजे अपने सही समय पर पहुंची | बी - 3 बोगी का एसी काम नहीं कर रहा था जिसकी शिकायत यात्रियों ने कई बार की थी | इसके बाद भी एसी को ठीक किये बिना ही ट्रेन चलती रही | यात्रियों के लखनऊ में दो घंटे के हंगामे के बाद ही बोगी को बदला गया | 
कुछ ऐसा ही हाल जनता एक्सप्रेस के एसी - दो डिब्बे का हुआ जब एसी फेल हो गया | वाराणसी - लखनऊ इंटरसिटी के चेयर कार में भी कूलिंग बंद हो गयी थी, दिल्ली फ़ैजाबाद एक्सप्रेस, गोरखपुर सिकंदराबाद एक्सप्रेस और अन्य गाड़ियों में भी लगातार एसी बंद होने की शिकायतें आ रही हैं और रेलवे यात्रियों के हंगामे के बाद ही एसी ठीक करता है |

दस अप्रैल से शुरू हुयी कटिहार-दिल्ली वाया सहरसा चंपारण हमसफर एक्सप्रेस के बार बार निरस्त होने से यात्रयों में आक्रोश बढ़ रहा है | ज्यादा किराया देने के बाद भी यात्रियों को परेशानी के अलावा कुछ नहीं मिल रहा | ध्यान देने वाली बात ये है की परिचालन निरस्त करने के बाद कोई और वैकल्पिक व्यवस्था नहीं की जाती है खासतौर पर जब ट्रेन प्रस्थान के समय से तीन घंटे पहले ये सूचना दी जाती हो कि ट्रेन निरस्त कर दी गयी है | दूर दूर से आने वाले लोगों गाओं वापस लौटने में काफी परेशानी होती है | इस ट्रेन के चलने वाले दिन से ही ये औसतन 15  से 22  घंटे विलम्ब चल रही थी | दिल्ली से 22 मई को खुली ट्रेन रिकॉर्ड देर से पहुंची। इस कारण कटिहार से गुरुवार को खुलने वाली चंपारण हमसफर को निरस्त कर दिया गया था |
