IL&FS Engineering and Construction, a leading multi-national infrastructure development, construction and project management company has bagged Railway Project worth Rs 2.69 billion in Kadapa & Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh.The company has bagged contract from Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL), Chennai for construction of a new broad Gauge Railway Line and the companies share is 50%. The contract involves construction of two tunnels at chainage and the project has to be completed within 40 months.The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till Aug. 31, 2012, rising 6.23% compared with the Sensex`s 1.12% rise. It underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 1.97% as against 7.47% rise in the Sensex.Shares of the company gained Rs 2.9, or 5.31%, to settle at Rs 57.50. The total volume of shares traded was 101,241 at the BSE (Monday). | ||
