New Delhi : Northern Railway today announced four new trains from difference places in North India that would cover Haryana, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir.General Manager of the Northern Railway, VK Gupta, today said four air-conditioned Express trains, those between Sarai Rohilla and Udhampur, Ferozepur and Sriganganagar, Amritsar and Kanpur Central and Amritsar and Nanded in Maharashtra as also passenger trains between Rohtak and Panipat and Hoshiarpur and Ferozepur would be launched from next month.Besides, frequency of Chandigarh-Bandra Terminus Express train (presently running on Sunday from Chandigarh and on Monday from Bandra) will be increased from weekly to bi-weekly. The Chandigarh-Bandra Terminus Express will run every Sunday and Wednesday while Bandra Terminus-Chandigarh Express train will run on Monday and Thursday.The frequency of Dibrugarh Town and Chandigarh Express will be increased from weekly to bi-weekly. From Delhi, it will run every Monday and Friday and on return journey, it will run every Wednesday and Sunday.The Northern Railway GM said the course of the Amritsar-Jaipur Express train would be extended up to Ajmer. It will depart from Jaipur for Ajmer at 7.45 am. It will reach Ajmer at 9.35 am. On its way back, it will depart from Ajmer at 5.55 pm to reach Jaipur at 8 pm. It will depart from Jaipur at 8.10 pm to reach Amritsar at 2.45 pm the next day.Delhi-Jind passenger train’s journey will be extended up to Narwana. It will stop at all stations en route. Jind-Sirsa passenger train will now run on to Hisar. The date of extension of journeys of both the passenger trains will be announced later. |
