Mysore  : For her, the train was not just a mode of transport, but a temporary shelter too, apart from her factory and dormitories.This is the heart-rending tale of the 19-year-old girl, on whom a molestation attempt was made on the Yeshwantpur-Mysore train on Tuesday. The miscreants had pushed her out of the moving train near Maddur in Mandya district.Sources said, she spent her nights at dormitories in the city. She commuted by train daily to her workplace - Indura Garments at Bommanahalli in Bangalore.Initially, when the police asked her about her residence, she claimed to be the daughter of the late Siddaraju, in whose house she stayed.She gave the house address as # 36, second cross, Vidyaranyapuram, Mysore. She had also the given the name of a resident of Hubli, who she claimed was her grandmother.When the police traced the Mysore address, they found it to be that of Madan, an employee with the contractor who has bagged the cleaning contract at the Mysore railway station. Madan told the police that he does not know the 19-year-old girl. The Hubli address too has turned out to be false.

Punishment
If the charges against the four accused are found to be true, they may have to spend the rest of their lives in jail.Akbar and Imran of Ghousianagar; Amjad and Subhaan of Kalyangirinagar have been booked under Sections 307 (attempt to murder), 34 (the number of accused being two or above) and 354 (inflicting external injuries) of IPC, and Section 152 of the Railway Act. If convicted for attempt to murder alone, the accused will be sentenced to life.Under the Railways Act, the minimum punishment is 10 years.On Thursday, a constable of the Railway Police in Mysore visited Udayagiri,  and Devaraja police stations to collect relevant information.The stations have been provided with the photographs of the accused, to check if they find a place in the modus operandi list.If that does not provide any clue, the investigators are planning to compare their fingerprints with those in the police database.
