Kanpur train tragedy that left 149 passengers dead and over 200 injured is coming hard on railway officials. Railway has suspended five engineers and transferred Jhansi Divisional Railway Manager to Ranchi. According to a railway spokesperson, Jhansi Divisional Railway Manager S. K. Agrawal was transferred to Jhansi instantly. He also gave out names of five Railway Engineer who were suspended as of now – Navaid Talib, Ishwar Das, M.K. Mishra, Sushil Kumar Gupta and Ambika Prasad Ojha. Railway minister Suresh Prabhu has also ordered a forensic enquiry for the accident in which 14 coaches of Indore Patna Express derailed in Pukhrayan. |
