Get ready to experience the first glass top coach in India. Indian Railways will introduce its first glass ceiling coach in October in a bid to attract tourism. Railway is planning to introduce 4 coaches this year that will part a regular train. The other three coaches will be rolled out in December. The first coach will be connected to a regular train in Kashmir Valley. The coaches are fully designed and developed in India by IRCTC and Research designs and Standard Organisations with a cost of Rs 4 crore each. Few trains in abroad like glacier express of Switzerland has such coaches and attracts lots of tourists. Under Suresh Prabhu current railway minister of India, Railway has undertaken several new projects to boost their image. Glass ceiling coach project was started in 2015 and within a span of less than two years the first coach is ready to be rolled out. |
